Default C5 Z06 prices

Hey guys, I am trying to figure out what a realistic value of what the C5 Z's go for, I have one I need to sell and see a huge variation in price range.

I am trying to figure out how much to sell my car for, but this thread could also be used to help Z owners figure out values of their cars to buy and sell and know what to realistically ask/buy for.

I am aware there could be a big price difference based on the following factors:
1. Age 01-04
2. Location (a car in rural alabama will go for a lot less than San Fran)
3. Options (exterior and interior trim, rims, etc.)
4. Mileage
5. Mechanical condition
6. Overall quality of the car for sale
7. Modded vs. stock

My car in particular I am trying to find out the resale value for is as follows:

04 Millenium Yellow Z06/ Single tone black interior/Gray Z06 wheels
57,900 miles
Located in San Diego, CA 92103
Has HUD and is completely stock except for a kirban shifter which I may put back to stock and a 180 thermostat.
Car is mechanically perfect with 4 wheel slotted rotors and ceramic pads just installed , all new high performance rubber all around and thousands overall just spent in maintenance. Vehicle is immaculate.

I previously posted this on here for a couple days at 26,500 but not sure if I was asking too much. What do you guys think?

Check out EBAY's "completed listings." Pretty good look at competitive buyers and sellers. I would say you might have been about $2K too high on the ask, and you might have to strike a deal $1K or so below that.

57k isn't really high miles but for that price you can get a very low mile c5z. (<30k). With those miles I would price it closer to $23k. Although in your local market your price may be in line. Good luck with the sale.

I bought my red 01Z last March for 25k with 35,ooo miles. It was perfect. Black interior. After that I saw them going for a couple grand more in price from the dealers. I'm sure if I looked again now they would be back down towards $25,000 and from Craigslist I bet you can find them for low 20's which I think is a fare price for the one you are selling (from the sound of it).

Wow... are you driving my car?

I've got nearly the same stats.. I'm a bit more mod'ed out but 26-23 seems about right

Purchased my car last March from the original owner for $20k cash money.

02 Millenium Yellow Z06/ Single tone black interior/Gray Z06 wheels
42,000 miles
Located in Detoit, MI
Is completely stock with ceramic pads on the fronts , tires were replaced with F1's all around. Vehicle is immaculate. Came with alot of extras: 2 car covers, yellow bra, 2002 service manuals, the VCR video, the 2002 dealer brochure, window sticker, certificate of origin, and some other small corvette stuff.

But like I said, I laid the cash on the dashboard after our test drive (2 stacks of $100 bills with money clips) and he could not turn the money down. The money did all the talking, not me. This car is flawless with no current error codes on it. Clean carfax and all recalls have been fixed along with the transmission being rebult at 20k under warranty at the dealership.

I recently bought an 02 EBZ with 43k and red interior. Only mods Z16 polished wheels, BB cat back and a shorty antennae. I over payed a little IMO at 23.5k BUT, I did it willingly. The way things shook out, I had a relatively short window of time, it was exactly what I was looking for and it was <15 miles from my house.
I think mid 20s is a good starting point but I'd be prepared for the possibility that you may have to settle for low 20s.

Picked up my 2001 red with red interior for 25.5k in August. I felt I overpaid by 1k as it needed tires, but the car was close and matched my want list. 10.6k miles. Bought at a rural Missouri dealer. Bone stock.

thanks guys, your suggestions are very helpful. It sounds like my car is worth more in the realm of 24-25 and not 26,500.

While that is likely the most reasonable place to start the pricing, it's worth whatever someone will pay for it. Ya might get lucky and happen upon someone who is looking for that exact car and uses KBB for pricing. Ya never know.

I have a clean cammed 03 z06, 18k miles. The car doesn't want to come out of 4th gear sometimes is the only issue. And I'm getting no hits at $22.5k.

I picked up an 03Z as shown in my avatar for 24.5K with 21000 miles on it. Found it on ebay, it was 30 miles from my home.

I've had a close eye on the C5 Z market for a long time now. I see a lot of stuff lingering, but I see asking prices up on average from what people were asking a year ago. Not sure why, I think some of you are dreaming. Only the super low mile cream puffs are fetching the big money it seems. Drivers, higher mile examples, and modded cars don't seem to be selling as well -- Just my .02

Im thinking it may be better to just put mine back to stock and ask 22-23k. Id be happy with that because i know i can get 7-8k for my parts if i put it back to stock

I would be curious also--ive considered selling my '02 Z with ~40k miles, L5 fenders, CCW sp500's, corbeau a4 seats, vette essentials interior, tigershark front bumper, MCM carbon fiber hood with center cleared and exposed CF, Baer 6p calipers and 2-piece rotors, johnny o'connel pfadt suspension, borla exhaut, H/C/I with 475/420rwhp, RPS clutch, 3.90 gears and the list goes on--I would sell it for 30k but not sure if that is reasonable, if not i would just keep it.
