Sad day for Corvette's owner and family
"Two people are dead after their car rolled over in Eastern Bay County.
The Florida Highway Patrol said troopers responded to the scene County Road 2297 south of Poston Road Wednesday morning.
A person driving by noticed the car in a field at 6:05 a.m.
According to the report, a 2004 Corvette driven by Cara A. Sindt, 30, of Panama City failed to negotiate a left curve in the roadway and entered the east shoulder. The car then began to rotate, and it’s front collided with a mailbox. The car overturned and collided with a wooden fence.
Sindt and her passenger Scott D. Cooper, 47, of Panama City Beach were pronounced dead at the scene.
FHP is investigating the accident.

Prayers for those killed, but have to wonder why they were unable to negotiate the curve.

I grew up in Bay County, and know that area fairly well. The roads are pretty well clear and the curves are long and sweeping, so either the road was wet and/or they were hauling @$$.
Shame.

Texting, distracted driving? Around here I have noticed a rash of people missing corners and crashing and crossing the center line resulting in head on collisions. When I check the age of the driver, seems they are always under 30. I would suspect cell phone use.
