Default question

Question is - in 2004 Glass Targas - did they come with a cover /shade type of thing so if you wanted to block out the sun you could? Or are they all an aftermarket item?

Any shade for the glass top would be from the aftermarket. It was not a factory option.

So I guess either find a solid top if I buy this one or go to the other choice - convertible.

The concern is that the aftermarket - not knowing how 'cheap' it is could cause a safety issue by falling off while driving.

I bought my car last year. It came with both tops. Previous owner put one of those mylar type shades that stick to the bottom of the glass top. Little holes cover the entire thing so even when it is on there you still get that open top feeling. I keep the glass top on 90% of the time and the cover has not fallen off or even come loose at any time.

If I were still living up north it wouldn't concern me, but I'm in Florida so anything that can be effected by that sun's heat during summer I consider. Which is why my Harley has 3 months off.

I have one of these. Works great and it isn't going to just fall out. I fits very snug.

Some guy from Texas was at the NCCO show in Shawnee Ok last week and had his top dipped and cleared... it looked just like Carbon Fiber and was swwweeeet... just a thought.
