Pairing Vettes
Two thoughts come to mind in my travels. When you see a Vette isolated in a parking lot do you park yours alongside and when on the highway and you see a Vette ahead do you pair up with it? I tend to regardless of generation.

If the other Vette is parked in the boonies I park with a space between us. Many times I have come back to my car with another Vette next to it. Once there was three of them. All generations. Haven't really had the chance to pair up on the highway but I have joined in on groups doing a cruise.

When I see a vette parked away from the store and I'm in my vette I park leaving one space gap in between. One time the owner was coming out as I arrived and we had a nice long talk about our cars. I made a new local vette friend.

I do both as well, but with regards to parking I'll leave a space in between if there's room.
On the flip side of things, it's always fun when someone else catches up to me on the road and hangs out, or when I come out to find another Vette parked next to mine. Even cooler if I get a chance to meet the owner of the other parked Vette; it's always been a pleasant conversation so far

I picked an end spot with plenty of room to one side this weekend at a restaurant. I could see the car through the window and was concerned after the vehicle next to me left. I looked back up a few minutes later and a Vette was parked next to me. I found that to be a relief.

Not unless there is something unique or special about it that catches my eye and I just want to check it out...

Since the doors on the C5 open so wide, I usually don't park right next to another Corvette.
I do however have to be cautious when parking to not leave a space "behind" me as my C5 has such a sexy rear end I am afraid I would come out and find another vehicle trying to mate with her!

I will park kity-corner to another Vette in a parking lot (so that neither car has anyone next to them) And when in traffic, I always let in other 'Vettes and motorcycles (but rarely anyone else).
