Broke my cherry...NOW I'm a Corvette owner!
I've had the 98 2 weeks but today I R2'd my oil pressure sensor with intake manifold on (sux azz btw). And on the test drive got first wave from another C5 guy!
One helpful cheat on the sensor; had my 6 yr old daughter disco the cannon plug and reach in fetch the stuff from the hole. Gotta say getting it started back in the block was the worst part. I ended up taping the new sensor to 3/8 6" extension and threaded it just enough for my daughter to get some more turns on it. Then socket + uniwiggle to torque it down.
Unfortunately a new belt and tensioner didn't stop the chirping so I might be doing the dampner down the road.

i had belt noise when I bought my last z06 i replaced the tensioner and it didn't stop it so i replaced the pulleys and it stopped might want to give it a shot
