Default Is it possible to add EXTREME negative camber to a C5?

Im about to order some super large lips for my wheels , and I want to be prepared for the worst.

I know 99% of everyone will say it shouldn't be done, or is a stupid idea, but I just want to know from the mechanical gurus out there if it is at all possible.

On some cars they simply need an adjustable camber bolt, and you can "toe out" the wheels almost as much as you want, on other cars its a little harder, im guessing since these cars are chevys that is should be pretty easy to do.

Ive seen people here say they are running negative camber but you cant even notice it .

Im talking like as much as in the photos .

Thanks in advance

I don't think so. You'd need variable length control arms. The cams at the end of our control arms won't get you to that level of camber.

Hope you have money for tires.

Generally I say let the owner of a car do whatever they want. In this case I still feel that way regardless of the fact the idea is stupid in my opinion.

The van steel camber kit will let you get close to 6 degrees. Some cars hit it, some only get 5. That's probably the best you'll find, and at that you'll quite likely be at the very last thread of your tie rod ends which should go without saying, is entirely unsafe. For more than that you're going to need adjustable, and longer, lower control arms, and also longer tie rod ends. That applies for both ends of the car.

Why you would ever want to do this to a Corvette is another story........

What does that ridiculous amount of negative camber get you in terms of handling? I see lots of rice buckets in my area with similar setups as the pic and all I can think of is that the inside of the tires are gone in no time. For street use (and I would bet that these cars with that alignment never see any sort of track or competition use) and the rear negative camber could easily kill u-joints in cars with IRS such as a Corvette.

I have about 2.5 negative camber in my '87 for autocross and it's not even noticeable. The Mazda in the pic must have 10-15 degrees negative camber??

Do what you like, but I'm with others--it's beyond stupid.

Check out Borg Motorsports, he is a member here and vendor. He makes some very nice offset bushings that will give you more camber. IIRC negative 4 in the rear, but they are $1200.

Why not just get the proper sized wheel, and tub or add flares if you want wider?

Seppuku was cool there for years - doesn't mean it makes any sense

So, something like this is cool, too, if this style is so popular in Japan?

If you just want to show off dumb ideas, then "stance" is as good as the next one. However, you'll never see that BS on any performance cars. Like, how many cars in the Fast and Furious movies that actually did any racing have this "stance" thing going on? Zero comes to mind...

Not if you are going for the "broken axle" look. Then it's "job well done"......

You're asking the wrong crowd , BUT I don't think it will look much dumber than half of the "modified" cars on here, which are slammed on the ground, chrome everywhere, 50 jake skull emblems, everything painted the same color inside and under the hood, wide rear fenders(which imo look ridiculously stupid on a C5) so be sure to post pics, I'll still shake my head but no more than I would at some of the other cars on here(which mostly aren't driven anyway and they actually take pride in having no miles on their car)
