Do you get an obnoxious grinding noise when you rotate the headlight ****?
if so, check the gear on the motor. oem is nylon, and it does wear out. (or develop stripped teeth)

Does the headlight open when you try to manual open it by turning the ****? you can check your fuses I think they are F3 and F4 under the hood, check and clean the grounds and there also is a headlight door control module under the passenger side light that can go bad.
