C5 Corvette vs. E46 M3 Road Test!!!!
I am new to posting on corvetteforum. I have been reading for years, but this is my first attempt of writing to fellow motorheads! A good friend of mine and I decided complete a road test of an E46 M3 and a C5 Corvette.
Thank you!

- There are times where it is very hard to hear you over road/engine noise. I'm not an audio or tech guy so I can't say how to fix it, but it was...annoying.
Anyway, for my opinion of your opinion, I'll preface this by saying I've never driven an M3 of any generation, though I would like to. I have driven a BMW 428i and 320d at one of their autocross event when it was soaking wet with rain and honestly the allure is kind of lost on me. They both felt rather gutless to me (even compared to my 250hp Saturn Aura), and the interior...meh. But what do I know, I don't mind the C5's interior.
As for how the Vette drives I would agree with you that is until I took mine to the track. On the street it's difficult to "sanely" approach the car's limits. It corners very flat, there's a lot of grip, plus a lot of torque to unstick the rear, and most annoying of all the rear will step out of line over road disturbances. On track though, the car, at least in my opinion, is a ***** cat. I took my car to a car control clinic at Lime Rock and made it a game of sliding around a hat that someone dropped on course, very controllable and composed. A mindful right foot is all it takes.
Never driven the M3 so I can't compare. I'll just say that the Vette, for me, would be and is my choice as a second car for fun. I'd take the M3 if it was my only car.
As an aside, what other mod, if any, are there for the Vette?

good review. however i see a couple problems from the getgo, the drivers should investigate the interior before starting the car ie, the seats, lumbar support (stated seats lacked without adjustment), telescopic steering wheel (neither drive adjusted, look uncomfortable) and long aftermarket shifter **** (notchy shifting), also appears the owner neglected the steering wheel service as they dont click that much (at least not a decent steering column anyhow). i also have never driven an m3 (sport mode) compared to the corvettes (competative driving mode, not mentioned) but i have chased 1 or 2 down the backcountryroads here in canada, no sweat.
nice review, sounded a little bias but great job.
OK, it wasn't too bad, just was obvious both guys preferred the BMW from the start.
I've owned 325i's for 17 years, still have my 03. While I agree on a lot of what was said, it was too obviously bias.

Nice video - thanks for taking the time to make and share it.
Although I know BMWs are more refined and the interior is worlds ahead of a C5, I still love my Z. And the BMW does have more steering feedback and a tighter feel but the thrill of the Z06 is undeniable.
The C5 is still the most fun for the buck, at least for me.
