Default Fuel Pressure Issues?

Need some advice.

Not getting much help but will try again. I lost power a couple of days ago going down the hwy. Car had cranking power but would not completely start up, no fuel. A few minutes later car totally started and barley made it home.

I am assuming it was my old MSD boost a pump because I saw some Charred on the exposed wire, So assuming the fuel pump had cooled off and able to work.

How should I attack this problem, install new boost a pump or figure out what happened on the fuel pump side? I have not taken off driver rear wheel and inspect wires for corrosion or being burned?

Also How do I resolder the fuel grey wire underhood fusebox. Too tight to work under there.

Whoever worked on this car before me used the grey wire for power, I want to put things back to stock to install the new boost a pump.

Good luck. When you buy a modified car you should either know how to fix it or know someone that does. There are only a few people here that even know what you are talking about. Probably why there are limited responses.

Thank For the response. I do know how to fix modified cars and fixed a lot already on this car. This is just a new issue and with other members having the same issue would sure help me diagnose my problem, but no responses. Have searched with limited results.

How many miles on the car?

What kind of fuel pressure are you getting at the rails?

Original fuel pump and injectors?

2002 with 44,000 miles, 0 fuel pressure at the rails, Not original fuel pump or injectors. The injectors are from Trickflow 86lb per hour, I am sure the fuel pump is also highly modified.

My questions would be, where should I start in diagnosing this. Dealing with fuel issues is new to me. Should I start at the fuel pump sending unit and work my way up to front of car. What am I looking for? Sorry for the questions.

what is done to the car??? with most supercharger setup's the common injector is 60lbs...also with it being a 2002 you can take off the back drivers side wheel ..remove the inner fender liner and gain access to the fuel pump rather easy...side note you if you don't have a fuel pressure gauge installed the place, you can look at the drivers side fuel rail and check for fuel pressure there...hope this helps

This car was in very bad shape when I got it. I already invested a lot of $$$ in having it run correctly, it was until this happened.

Thanks, The former owner heavily modified this car. Its a forged 347 Fast 102 D1SC built car. The MSD boost pump that was on there showed some exposed pos wire leading to the fuse box It showed some charred the underside of but connector. I am assuming the fuel pump got hot and the next day I could start the car and heard the fuel pump prime, but I cannot now.

I contacted A&A corvette and they said to put the current wires back to stock. Which I agree with and in the process of trying to do. I noticed the underhood fuse box, the grey wire has been cut and in its place is the power wire running to the old MSD unit (30amp). So what I want to do is reconnect the original stock gry wire that leads to the fuel pump and install the kenne bell boost a pump like A&A has their instructions. Do I have to find out how the wires at the fuel pump are wired then?

I really need some help if some can? I hate to spend $1000. for a shop to fix it when I just need some guidance.

Well I tested the fuel pump on 12 volts and it works, (Primes)Thank God

My fuses are good but I am not getting power from the fuse box to the pump for some reason. I tried to disassemble to get to the ignition switch but I quit because the 2 connectors came out but that other tube looking connector would not come out. I squeezed the tab and it would not come out. So I gave up. Put it all back.

The BAP is not getting 12 volts from the front fuse box.

OK, So my cause was #1 my old BAP pos side line was corroted(Still connected) but getting the fuel pump hot and BAP hot. Causing car not to initially run.

#2 My fuel pump is working thank God. I took battery to it directly. No prob. I jumped relay 37 87 something like that no prob. Since my fuel pump is hot wired(wires going from it to the front) I was not getting a ground period. So I had to run another ground totaling 3 grnd wires for it to work. 1 for the bap, 1 for the side rail car and then fuel pump.

Long story short I am not an electric guy hahaha, Glad I have it fixed. Now just have to crimp and solder some wires together.

Update: car runs better now then it did before, I am actually getting better MPG's, and it is strong. Floored it got up to 90 mph about 700-800 feet.
