Default Subwoofer Question

Hello, i currently have a 1 10" woofer in a custom box, it is a DD brand sub.. It sounds good, but one thing i do not like is how big and gaudy the sub box looks in the hatch compartment.. I was thinking of two options, getting a 1 10" sub and putting it in the center storage compartment, or take the two small compartments and either get two 10" subs or two 8" subs i don't know how much it would change the sound and output, i have a 400 watt amp running the DD sub, it's a power hungry sub and need to upgrade to more power.

I hope i can use my 10" DD sub but i don't know if it would sound good? i was leaning toward either two rockford fosgate P3 10s or two P3 shallow 8s I wan't it to sound better, and look better, and more output. What would you recommend i do ? And another thing what about tweeters for better highs. Thanks Pup

That's what i would like to have, but for two boxes only in is $500 that is just to expensive for two small boxes, i know i can get two custom made for a whole lot cheaper, the subs and amp are not going to be cheap. Thanks

To add to this discussion, does anyone know if having an oem center storage cover affects the performance of the sub at all? I've seen some custom made center covers with a grill/mesh area which is carpeted when looking at it from the top and it had me wondering if a non "vented" cover would affect the performance.

Does this make sense?

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I have a 10 inch ark audio sub in a cutom box in

center storage in my vert. I have tried it both ways with OEM cover on and off it puts out more sound with cover off. So I purchased a grill cover for sub.

Welp that answers that, so I'll look into getting a "vented" cover.
