I for one have missed your posts (and the avatar). You always offered great advice and the Pace Car was just gorgeous. Hope you still have it and maybe reconsider getting back on the forum some time. We have lost a few folks such as Mr Bill and others which has hurt the Forum in my opinion.

I occasionally lurk - and there are times that I feel like I could answer a question or offer advice. I'll give it some thought......

It will be 14 years for me in Sept but I found the Corvette Forum over a year before I signed up. It's great to see the missing old timers posting here again. I'm still driving my C5. It's become my daily driver since moving to SW Florida in 2013.

Bought my 1998 Convertible in October of 2001 and traded up in April of 2004 for my current ride a 2004 Commemorative Edition Z06. So I am closing in on 15 years of C5 Ownership. Never really tempted to leave, until I saw the C7 Z06, but I don't have a $100 large laying around.

I'll have 15 years completed in 3 more months. I joined up around the same time I placed the order for my C-5......which I still have.

Sept. of this year will mark my 15th. I've loved every minute of it and I cherish the friends I have met because of CF. Thank you, Bill - for your work on our beloved C5, for the years of support you have given to the thousands here on CF and for your friendship.

I just want to say that , this is what a Corvette has always been about, friendship, passion, and a real desire to be a part of the greatest automotive community in the world.
The Corvette forum has been a vehicle, to extend this friendship and camaraderie. Every once in a while, we get a few distractors and even haters who come here to try to disrupt and disrespect the whole Idea of what the Corvette community represents. Everyone comes here for different reasons. Some come to learn, some come to teach, but in the end, everyone comes here to help, when they can. Ive seen some come here with little to no knowledge, only to see them here after 14 or 15 years, giving back all that have learned here, in a spirit of friendship and community commitment.
It makes me smile when I see and remember some newbie who came here a long time ago, who chose to bookmark, some of my help, word for word and to come here many years later to offer that help to a brand new member. A lot of information has been passed on to others here and that information remains here for all to share. We have to thank the Corvette forum and the vendors for keeping this forum a place to share our passion. Thanks to those who have participated in this thread.
When I started it, I thought it would be just a roll call of old timers, but it has become a lot more for me...Another opportunity to stroll down memory lane.. remembering the good old days, and see some friends who's names and Avatars, inspire thoughts of times past, when we were a half step faster, a bit healthier, had a little more Hair, a little less grey, but one thing that is better, is the friendships that we have embraced by coming together here in one place. Thanks to all

I want to thank all the members for the kind words, ribbing, joking, and all the expert help and advice over the years. I've said it before, the Forum is absolutely mandatory to Corvette ownership.
Here's to many more miles of smiles to all!

Count me in...
So officially I think the forum shows me as a member in 2003 after I bought my 2001 (which I still own) but I was lurking around here in 2000 when I finished college and started shopping for Corvettes. Evil-Twin I remember seeing your posts back then and I remember from time to time the fire fights that would occur when people didn't get the "engineering" answers they wanted to hear. I know you keep your exact location under wraps but I always figured we were in someway neighbor's being I'm located in Macungie, PA.
Thanks for sticking around I completely enjoy this forum.

14 1/2 so far on CF. I joined when I started looking to buy my first Corvette. Still have it after 14 years. I used to be much more active, before Troy Roberts sold the forum...

Still have (and love) my 98.. but I've been spending most of my time in the C1/C2 section as I inherited my dad's '61.. and been restoring it for 2 years now.
I find myself coming back here recently as the 98 is developing some 'old age' problems recently!
