Default C5 Corvette CAGS Skip Shift Eliminator on Sale at PFYC

C5 Corvette CAGS Skip Shift Eliminator

Our Skip Shift Eliminator is a must for your manual transmission performance car and at a price you'll can't beat. If you own a 6-speed, you probably hate when the computer forces you to shift from first to fourth gear. This simple and easy to install device removes the annoying skip shift feature and does not affect the computer at all. The dash light will still come on, but you will now be able to shift into second gear any time you want. Installs in minutes and is completely weather-sealed and reversible.
APPLICATIONS (V8 models with Manual Transmissions Only)

2014 Chevrolet C7 Corvette Stingray
1997-2013 Chevrolet Corvette C5 and C6
1994-2002 Chevrolet Camaro
2010-2013 Chevrolet Camaro
1994-2002 Pontiac Firebird/Trans Am
2009 Pontiac G8 GXP
2004-2006 Pontiac GTO

We've got them here: http://www.pfyc.com/pc/VT6001/VT/CAG...8+Engines.html

Almost every C5 I've driven that's been for sale still has the stupid skip shift and I don't understand why...I can't stand that thing and this mod will be my very first one if the C5 I buy doesn't already have it...

How bad is it if you "accidentally" shift into second and third while the 1-4 light is on?

......Say a handful of times before you figure out what to do.

I did it and while there isn't any immediate or obvious damage I just hope I didn't stress anything too greatly.

I personally don't find it to be a problem at all on my 2003 C5. I always wind out above 2500 RPM in 1st gear before shifting to second and on through the "H" pattern. Not once has the quick-shift 1-4 kicked in. I did it on purpose once just to see what it was like, but other than that.....

As i recall, it was much more of an issue in traffic where you are using lighter throttle openings. First mod I ever did - and in bang for the buck terms, the best, especially as my C5 was bought and used as a daily driver.
