Headers- LG or Texas Speed
Looking for some insight on Texas Speed Headers for the C5
Quality, Fit, Finish...?
Any problems with rubbing against the ac line or steering shaft?
Can anyone compare them to LG Street Series?
I had LG's previously on my last vette and they fit great, were budget friendly, and I had 0 problems with them.

If you have, and are willing to spend the extra coin, I'd say LG.
My Texas Speed headers had severely warped flanges (seems I'm a rare case for this, thankfully I have access to milling equipment). One collector is flat and straight, the other hangs lower and points up.
For the price the latter issue isn't horrible, unless you plan to lower your car...
Definitely no clearance problems once installed.

+1 for Kooks. I bought a cheap set initially and the quality was sketchy. I sent them back and got Kooks, no issues at all.

When I had my MY 00 vert I had the LG Street series with the HF cats. Had the Z06 Ti's and loved the system. The LG set up was very easy to install in my garage with no issues. Money well spent.

TSP's were on my car when I got it. When I started disassembling it (bought with a blown motor, broken valve spring), I realized there were no O2's in the car because they put the passenger side bung pointing straight into the tunnel brace. I just threw a wideband in the other side and run it open loop for now, but it's not ideal on a street car. And I'd rather not cut holes in my tunnel brace.

I've had 2 sets of lg's on mine, 1 3/4" superpros and now 1 7/8" superpros and never had any problems with warped flanges, o2's not fitting, misaligned collectors, etc... it sounds like you answered your own question at the end of your post but if you can afford the extra cost I would stick with one of the well known major brands, lg/arh/kooks

Used our 1 3/4 Pro's on my Vettes in the past and never hit them. Both were lowered all the way on stock bolts.

LG 1 3/4 Super Pros. Look, fit, sound, and performance is awesome! Can't speak for TSP, never had them or known anyone who does.

Depends on size and model but we tried to keep them no lower than the lowest pat of the frame or cradles. I know a few of them might have one tube that sits slightly lower depending again on model.
