Hello all, I'm getting some paint work done on my 99 coupe and have a chance to change the color of the halo and tagra top and I've always liked the look of the black top with the dark tinted windows, what do you think about the look.

I really like the black halo as it just makes the roof look lower!

I think it looks great, but ONLY on a coupe (not a z or FRC) and only with a high gloss along with really dark tint. The first coupe looks perfect.

Plastidip and matte just look terrible because the dark tinted windows are obviously very glossy, so it doesn't give the same "dark glass bubble" look.

Well it looks like most people confirm what I was thinking so I'm going to have it done, I will post pictures when it's completed, Thanks for all you opinions.

I always thought it was a horrible oversight by the factory. Works well on all black cars.

My personal impression of the solid color cars with the ball black roof panel and bar is that it looks like an import ricer mod. Just my humble opinion
