Default Over Speed Warning on DIC

Hi all.. Strange one!.....
Whenever I go over 70 mph the above message appears on my DIC and my hud has a check gauges message and it stays there until you dip back below it.... Now I thought this happened on all C5s but apparently not!

I'm in the UK and my cars first owner was the Saudi Royal family, it was in his car collection ... The above message seems to be on cars that go to the Middle East !! Bizarre!
It's essentially a US spec car, converted to euro later...

Has anyone any idea how to get rid of this message? As its very annoying!
Doesn't seem to appear in any info out there!

Thanks..

I have the same thing going on with my 2000 C5, it drive me crazy and wish someone could help adjust the limit of this speed warning, who drives a corvette at 70 mph? Had it to the dealership, took it to a tuner with a laptop and no one can find where you can adjust this setting. Please help.

Did you read post #2? It might explain why you have that display.

Normally a Tuner cannot access the BCM, the tuning tools address the 96K that is available in the PCM only. I takes advanced tools to access the BCM and other computers in the C5 Corvette. Some of the Scan tools with bi-directional abilities are available as computer programs that may address the other controllers besides the PCM
