Default MGW Shifter install help

So I just installed my MGW shifter and everything went smoothly but when I put back on my stock **** there is nothing to tighten it down with so now the ball just twists and turns. Did I miss something? Thanks for help in advance.

I believe they offer **** versions. Weather you're using a C6 style **** or C5...

Did you get the C5 version or C6 version? Lol

Most shift handles need a lock-nut. I would ditch the stock one and go with the best shift handle ever. The Hurst T-handle.

It really depends on the ****, and or which version you got. As Ivan said, there are C5 versions (with a 9/16" threaded ****) and a C6 version that accepts 5/8" *****. The C6 version may also have a pin to hold the **** in place. My memory is hazy. I personally have a C6 **** that's threaded at 9/16", and is a simple turn to tighten set up.

there should have been a thin nut that threads onto the shaft first and then the **** threads on... thread the **** down as far as it will go then back it off just a hair if the pattern is off center and then back the nut up against the bottom of the ****, this will lock it in place
