The front lip is plastic, spring loaded to flex, and cheap to replace.
Quit crying, and lower the thing, unless of course you like that 4x4 altitude.

I would paint your adapters black to blend in with your rotor hats. Actually, I would paint the hats at the same time, for a uniform look.
