When my key is turned to the on position ,, motor not running I can hear a high pitched sound . it sounds like it is coming from under the hood... it almost sounds like the seat belt warning only it is a steady sound.. I can still hear it after I start the motor .. It's not real loud but noticable.. This is on a 2004 Vette that I just purchased.... Thanks for any information...
when you turn the key to ON, you should hear the fuel pump prime (high pitched whine) for 2 seconds, then shut off. When you start the engine, the pump will continue to run. Is that what you're experiencing?

It doesn't shut off after 2 seconds and continues after I start the engine.
Going to check now,,, is that normal for it to do that ???
Not sure if it's normal but yes, when the key is in the ON position the TB receives power and you can press the gas pedal to move the flap so you can clean the TB.
