Hi Pete,

I disagree with the 1" (Sorry, have to state my opinion) If you look at the current 1" fenders on the market the flare is barely noticeable, and would not match the 2" flares that you currently have in production. I know it would challenging to go with 1 1/2, or even a 2" flare, but if you look at the C5 it is already designed narrow to wide, so going 1 1/2, 2" and paired with your current 2" flare would look right at home...anything else, not so much.

Again, it would be a design challenge, but I think this option should be explored. I would even go as far as designing a front bumper to properly blend in with the larger front flares if required. We (you) only get one shot at this, and like many of us who have literally waited YEARS for this we want to see it done right!

btw, I don't doubt you amigo as you've always come through but really, really, really, want to see this project come to fruition and a design that everyone with rear flared fenders would want!!!

Pete

Any intensions of doing urethane rear wides?

Also do you currently have any CF wides in stock for a Z06?

what made you choose doing the fronts? always thought there was a bigger market in rear fenders.

Thanks guys! I appreciate all the input it is all noted.

We will start building and see whatever we think looks best, if that's 1 inch or it becomes 1.5 we'll see. I don't want it looking out of place.

As far as rears, yes I will be making new ones as well. I know there are several TPE knockoffs out there already and that's most likely what we'll do. They will look like the TPE, but we'll make sure fit and finish is great and they'll be urethane.

Thanks Pete,

I'd be highly interested in your front offering. Just my .02, I think a 1.5 would be a good starting point. The 1" may be too subtle.

Im in 100% on urethane rears especially in the TPE style. Will the cost be on par with duraflex parts or CC parts.

This is maybe a stupid question but what's the difference between urethane vs. polyurethane vs. duraflex?

Urethane/polyurethane is the same thing. Duraflex is fiberglass. It's a bit more flexible that regular fiberglass, but at the end of the day it's still fiberglass.

Disagree totally.

My fronts are 3/4 and they really change the look on the front. I like them. With the 3/4 you can put in z06 c6 offsets and they sit flush. Otherwise 1-1/2 to 2 would need spacers

I tend to agree on most points with 3/4" but suggest possibly 7/8"-1" maximum if it can keep C5 lines and blend into front oem fascia. 1-1/2" -2" would require a new front fascia and without it would look like an umbrella over the top of the wheel. Look at the fender/fascia border...no way 2" is going to look good without addition of wider front fascia. Additionally the point that factory C6Z/ZR1 offsets offer correct fitment and lower the total cost for this mod make it more affordable to the masses of C5 owners.

ACP makes a C5 kit complete with front fascia/fenders and rear fascia/fenders for a widebody if you really want to go wide. I think it looks good but I'm just looking for subtle enhancements to C5 lines.

1000% spot on i flared mine once with l5s in the front and it did not flow at all and made the front tire tuck. The c5s front fenders are very narrow

I agree with 1" or less. Anything more would require a wider front facia. Even 1" would be pushing it. Subtle mods are the best and a huge 1.5-2" front flare would look goofy and out of place.
