Trunk liner will not stay glued
I have an aftermarket trunk liner that will not stay attached on my C-5 convertible. It came with the sticky Velcro which does not work. I have tried re-gluing the Velcro and tried a weather-strip cement, but the liner keeps falling down in the trunk. Any advice?

Did you clean the truck part with alcohol? Make sure there is no dirt or grim or grease.

I have the same problem
I have tried all kinds of glue and nothing has worked
It will stay for a little while then fall off again
I'm to the point that I need to take a sanding disk on a grinder and sand all of the glue ogg and start over.
If you find something that works let me know

The panel is too heavy for the 2 sided tape/velcro installation. Another one of those mods that doesn't work very well.
I used 4 screws with large washers and installed them into the raised support beams of the trunk lid.
Make sure the screws are not too long!

I fiddled with the ground on the battery and tightned down on the grounds on each side by the motor and so far it starts like its supposed to. Hopefully I got lucky and that's all it was.
Everytime I go to start it I crenge (lol)

I used 4 self tapping screws 1/2 inch length. Had it done in 5 minutes. Couldn't get my glue or double sided tape to hold.

Mine kept coming loose as well. I mentioned this to a friend of mine that has an automobile upholstery shop and he asked me to stop by his shop with the car one day and he would fix it.
He replaced the Velcro with a heavy duty commercial Velcro that he uses on door panels, etc. and promised me it would hold. It's been close to a year now and I haven't had it come loose yet.
It might be worth stopping by a local automotive upholstery shop and asking if they have anything they would sell you or have them do it at the shop. It would seem a lot easier and cleaner fix than other options being discussed!

I faced this problem for 3 years. Tried twi sided tape, velcro, commercial strength velcro etc. The adhesive that held the tape or velcro always melted likely due to the hea from the southern Az summer sun.
I finally chose to go with 4 plastic push rivets and the liner has been in place with no issues for more than 5 years. I drilled holes very carefully into the molded X brace area of the trunk lid an here is the final look:

I need to find some of these plastic rivets. Likely in the HELP! section at the Zone. Previous owner of my C5Z had this liner installed and it stays warmed inwards due to the heat getting to it.

Mine would fall down, and was warped...
SO I took the hide off the crappy card board backing and got a 2'x4' sheet of ply board... nice thin, good quality board not particle board...used the old card board as a template to cut the plyboard....
I glued and stapled the material on the board with carpet glue...
The previous owner must have struggled with this issue and had made a terrible mess... silicone, part of velcro strips, just horrible looking...
I cut some pieces of wood and used silicone to attach them where I needed support then used velcro to attach...finally used some screws to finish attaching... now it's FLAT, SOLID, and DOES NOT COME OFF..
The Previous Owner riveted the velcro to the braces...

Sticking trunk lid liner on
If you have no intension of removing the liner. Go to Lowes or any hardware store and purchase a tube PL construction Adhesive. Spread some adhesive on Velcro stripe's GLUE SIDE and a few dabs on the liner where it will touch the lid cross supports and position on truck lid then prop in place with lid almost closed with wood or anything else . Let Dry 12-24 hrs. I did mine two years ago and never fell off again.

Ended going the same route as 8VETTE7. Worked awesome! Its a little nerve wracking drilling into the bracing on the trunk lid, but a little electrical tape on the bit 3/8" down will keep you from punching through the lid. Very happy with the result and it looks factory.

I just did mine this past week. It had been screwed in place but the fiberglass gave way over time and the screws had pulled out. I tried adhesive but that didn't help. Finally I did similar to what 8Vette7 did and decided 'rivets', but mine are the rubber type with brass inserts in where you use a #8-32 screw in it (button head cap screws for me) and the rivet expands just like a rubber engine block plug does. Worked great and I am hoping they don't eat up the fiberglass like the screw threads did. I'm confident they won't.
Mine were 3/8" diameter and about 1/2" long with a flange on one side and a metal insert at the other. I ran a drill backward through my cover in order to wear a hole in it for the 3/8" part to pass through. Drilled 3/8 holes in the deck lid, and screwed it fast.
