Whoops, should have mentioned that earlier to you. Yep, you need some kind of battery tender if you don't drive her a good 15-30 minutes every 2 weeks or so.

Have a good one,
Mike

I'll second that on the battery tender. I don't drive my car much so I keep it hooked up all the time. I have my connector coming out by the wiper so I don't have to open the hood.

Great story. The FRC/Z06 C5 will go down as one of the best Corvette’s of all time.

so, in the interest of safety, I decided to go ahead and order a different steering wheel release.

I ordered a Lifeline FIA cert quick release, which means I could no longer run the NRG short hub. So I also ordered a Flaming River billet adapter.

So if anyone wants to buy an NRG short hub/ 2.0 QR combo, I'll have it for sale shortly.

Seats are backordered from the seller I chose, but the good news is that they will be sending 2018 seats instead of 2017 dated for the FIA cert

I appreciate it but I would need C6 belts due to the S2000 seats in my car. Didn't know they made C5 belts in anything but black, gray, and tan

What is the difference between the two with relation to your S2k seats? I thought you were running stock belts?

The C5 belts have retractors both at the bottom of the seat in the sill, and on the B Pillar. The C6 belts only have it in the B pillar, and are fixed inside the sill. The reason for the swap is that the C5 retractor in the sill is far too big to allow the seat to fit in there.

that is awesome to know, I'm worried about that second tensioner as well since I'll need to pass the belt through the lap harness hole in the seat. So at least it sounds like there will be a work around if necessary.
