Almost could use some spacer on the rear! Maybe 1/2"?

yeah I agree, the rear looks a little funny compared to the front.

I'm going to wait though and make sure these wheels fit around the new brakes first though

I have a pair of 1" bolt on spacers that will work perfect for you when you're ready.

We'll see

I'd really like a set of CCW C10s (if I can't get the z wheels around the brakes)

But those speedlines on Ebay are calling my name!

So last night I went ahead and ordered a front caliper. I need to make sure these things don't look like garbage, and this way I'll be able to test the wheel fitment.

I know 18s are plenty possible (CCW, Forgestar etc), but I haven't seen anything about c5z wheels over them. I think however a spacer would fix any issues (I hope).

I'm also 99% sure I have rotors figured out. Still more than I want to spend at $1500 for all 4, BUT, they are off the shelf DBA rotors made specifically for OEM brembo hats. I still need to measure the hat PCD to be sure, but I think this will take care of it in a safe and more OEM style. (as opposed to having Coleman custom make them)

390x34mm front (same spec as the RB iron conversion)

and 380x32mm rear

What's wrong with C6 Z06 brakes? You can pick up a set and bolt them on for a lot less money, and a lot less hassle than what you're doing now. They look "extra cool" as well!

Thats a great looking car Mike!

The z06/GS brakes were the plan when I first bought the car.

But then I realized I don't want a caliper designed for 6 individual pads.

I wanted to do something different, and the only C5 with ZR1 brakes (that I know of) uses the CCB rotors, which is not a practical solution in my opinion, unless money is falling out of your pockets.

My goal is to do this within a reasonable budget with common parts.

While I certainly recognize that this is hilariously too much brake for my car (or almost any car driven on the street),

I'm also doing it because I think its cool, simple as that.

My first car, a 1990 Toyota Corolla wagon, had 14" wheels.

Now I'll have 15.5" brakes.

I think doing this will also open up the avenue for a lot of other people looking into BBKs in a similar budget, assuming I'll be able to complete this for the expected ~$2300 dollar price tag.

Things have been pretty pitiful progress wise

We bought a new house, but haven't had any luck selling the old one yet. So that means no fun money.

On the plus side, I think I have cracked the code with regards to a true budget (relatively) ZR1 brake setup.

PowerStop has been very helpful with my questions, and I have identified the necessary rotors (hopefully). These are already produced for another platform, and will currently require a hat swap, but I'm hoping by my completion of this project, they may start offering a ZR1 specific solution.
