I've been around forums for a long time, I have thick skin

but the irony of questioning a subjective opinion while doing so in the same sentence,

almost seems too good to be true

Haha.

Welcome to Corvette ownership. The worst part about owning a corvette is the other corvette owners, at least a good chunk of them.

The good news is that there are plenty of great Corvette owners as well. You'll find there are car guys and then there are "Corvette guys". They're usually easy to spot by their comments

Ok, I should just keep quiet but I will respond because it's getting childish. First of all, it's all good Work Truck. Just playing with you for your comment. Nothing serious here. Once again, I enjoyed your write-up!

I have owned all three body style C5 Corvettes, 2 FRC’s, 1 Z06, 2 Convertibles and 3 Targa Coupes. I don’t really have a preference but if I had to choose it would be the Z06 due to the unique FRC roofline and LS6 engin, but a Black Corvette Coupe is just special looking to me.

BSM's, Wagon Wheels, thin spokes, chrome, black or silver rims, CCW, HRE, ARH, Kooks, LG, A&A, ECS, Magnuson, runflats, non-runflats, they're all great to me. We all have our preferences and of course everyone has different opinions. We choose what we choose for whatever reason.

I am a car guy first and enjoy every car whether it's a Mustang, Firebird, Camaro, Challenger, MG, T-Bird, Civic, Regal Grand Sport, '32 Ford, 390 Ford LTD, Supra, Q50, Jeep, Miata, Monte Carlo, Grand Prix, Austin Healy...etc... you get what I mean. In fact, other than a Challenger, '32 Ford and Austin Healy, (some day), I have owned each of those cars, 13 Corvettes, some motorcycles, plus others.

I get it that you bought an FRC because you like the unique roof line, that's great, congrats. I think that we are here because we share a common interest, despite the roof line .

73Corvette is getting pretty carried away with his interpretation of my comment.
dbgoodwing states that he also “prefers” the FRC style over the coupe, good for you.
Black02, nobody is as much of a car guy as I am.
I prefer Coke to Pepsi. Oh, I take that back.

We're all good here

I don't have anything against the targas or their onwer's but they aren't my first choice for the C5.

At least they don't have the stigma of driving the budget corvette :P

I think it would be nice if the O/P. could express more about his driving experience, now that he has owned the car for a while.

All C5's look good IMO. I like the look of the FRC. I have a coupe so I my dog can ride in the back. It's great that this car came with choices.

Tried to not make it personal, and was being somewhat facetious, thus the at the end. I prefer sweet tea...

OP YOUR car looks amazing!!!!!!!
