I've added the weather seals around the tail lights. They do a good job sealing around the lights, so it probably took longer to pull the lights than to actually install the flasher module. I actually removed both inside tail lights (closest to the license plate area as Merlin02 suggested), so I could get a hand in from each side to connect the module.
People have commented about the extra notice the flashing gives. Anything added that helps keep you from getting run over is well worth it to me.

I checked Amazon for the coolant extension harness to use as a plug and play. However the plug will not fit on a 1998 and it states that on the site. Does anyone know if the Radio Flyer will fit on a 1998 C5? I would prefer to not cut the factory wiring and use the extension setup. TIA everyone...

Here’s one I found on Amazon. According to their information it will fit a 1998 Corvette. Sorry, but I’m not familiar with using a coolant extension harness for this.
Most of the ones I’ve seen are already plug and play.
RadioFlyer does offer this flasher module and reflects it as fitting all C5s. You can order his either ready to splice in or already set up for plug and play.

Would it be possible to use 2 flashing LED bulbs for the inside brake lights instead of a module for the 3rd brake light on a C5 vette and standard LED for the outside lights?

5 years ago Radioflyer made the coolest 3rd brake light scanner. For some reason he stopped making it.

^ that was a cool RF mod!
I recently did a regular flasher mod which has a rapid-regular-steady flashing sequence.
