Default Waiting for the brown truck.

It's just a couple of days before the parts get here for the rebuild of the engine to be completed. I have honed and cleaned up the block getting it ready. I ordered everything from LS6 oil pump to the LS7 clutch, piston rings and bearings, timing chain, and I mean everything!

Cannot wait till the UPS truck drops all the new parts on the shop floor. I even bought a new 20 gallon parts washer to make the job easier. I must say that clean up using the Harbour Freight water based degreaser is much better than I imagined. I can't believe I didn't buy one long ago.

Just another week or so before I get to drive it again.

I know its been a long wait for you....also know you will keep us in the loop with posts and PIC's. That bad boy will be as good a new (before engine blew) or better.

P.S. Harbor Freight has a ton of items that are affordable..I go there at least once a month.

Good luck in getting it all out back together. I'm sure you can't wait to get the car back on the road.

I bought that Vibrating bowl and filled it walnut media to clean up my pistol brass and also use it for bolts and nuts. Much better than that slow rotating tumbler.

Just installed new rings and bearings this morning. I will R&R the oil pump and timing chain tomorrow. Having a blast doing it!
