That is a lot of blood, sweat and tears invested. I didn't watch the whole thing, I just checked out the highlights. I think I'd rather see it adjustable (assuming it isn't) just so there's a way to actually drive the thing still. But, to each their own.

I am thankful that the peer pressure I experienced when I was a kid never led me to a project like this. I guess we had more tangible goals in mind when I was a kid. I can recall doing a tilt front end on a car years ago, but it was done to be more functional than for cool factor.

Just the video recording and editing was a lot of work.

IMO, the C5 will never be the new C4 just like the C6 will never be the new C5. They all have their own unique +/- and stand on their own merits. But that's just me.

However, as the C5 depreciates down even more, there will be owners that find new ways to mod the car and not risk losing a huge amount of money even if it doesn't work out. What he has done is certainly not my cup of tea, but I'm not paying for the car either. He's the one that has to live with it bottoming out on even a minor pothole or speed bump.

Now it's undrivable and it won't be a cakewalk to properly repair that hack job.

I just witnessed a total moron in action.

I guess I am to old to understand why you would do that to a perfectly good car.

Although the method in which he took to obtain this look is questionable, I think the myriad of poor C5's I've seen with stick on fender slats, chrome tail light bezels, huuuge wheels, tacked on wings, (I could go on) look wayyy worse than this. In my eyes, dare I say, it's not terrible. Nice color, clean lines, and a very low stance. I suppose I'm in the minority, but I've always thought the lower the c5 body was the more bad-*** attitude it developed. I also do believe one could achieve this look without the hackjob, but eh, maybe I'm too young to understand not to mess with perfection.

He obviously has a vision and apparently the budget to mod his car. He sounds halfway intelligent and can use tools. He is light-years ahead of many I've met that are his age. I wouldn't do what he is doing but that is just me.

Probably envisioned a lowrider with extreme camber wide tires and then put some fart cans on it and it just got outta hand.
