Yeah, I can see the corners will be a little challenging. But hey, since I'm in the front end, may as well consider a Vararam too.
Yes I did install them. I noticed my OEM corner lights had a melted top where the heat from stock bulbs were extremely hot and melted the plastic housing. Was it a pain? yes it was...and WORTH IT!
You know nothing about this car is ever easy....no matter the mod or repair it's going to cost you some cash and skin from somewhere on your hide. But you pay to play.

I bought my 2004 new off the lot in August, 2014 and scored a great deal with 0% financing because the new C6 models were starting to arrive and dealers were anxious to rid their lots of the C5s.
I'm glad I did because from a pure cosmetic point of view, I like the looks of the C5 better than the C6. However, I also really like the C7 as I had the same emotional "gotta have it" response just like I did when I saw my first C5.
As a result, I'm planning to pull the trigger on a new C7Z garage mate in the next few months and I'm sure my C5 vert will make good company.

Troll thread? I don't know? I suspect it depends upon which car you "like" better. I don't see the op posting a lot of threads to stir up controversy, so I say not intentional IMO but if you are a C7 owner or even a C7 enthusiast it was definitely a shot, intended or not, when you say something like...threw money away on "X" you fill in the blank, it's going to be taken as a negative comment, I believe it had everthing to do with his love for his car and little to do with the C7 in General.
"Some" do this with all mods "predictable", and it's always a shot, but the thats ok with me, I just ignor it, we all know going in you don't get much back for major mods and we don't need "him " to point it out but he always does.
Some people think any new car is throwing money away and lots of people think any Vette used or not is throwing money away for a two seat car that can't be driven in lots of conditions
Fwiw I've seen three C7z's the past couple of days, that car is crazy nice and makes a regular C7 look like a different year and blah just like a C6Z makes a regular C6 look kinda whimpy. Sorry but that's my take on the regular c6/c7 It would be hard for me to upgrade to either without going the Z route. Those wide body's are in a different league.
Anyhow this is all opinion.... but it's mine so it's right

Yessiree, that's my wife. Even though I drive it to work more than half the year, she somehow think's it's nothing but a frill. Some people are hard to convince. Gollee, it's sexy and fun to drive, it must be a waste of money.

When I see a c7 I am happy people are keeping the corvette alive. If everyone only modded old cars and did not buy new we would never even have a c5 to drive. One day in the future the c7 will be the old vette that is affordable and gets modded. If we had the cash flow to buy a brand new c7 and personalize them like we do our c5 we would.

With regards to the thread, I find it wasteful to buy any new model car because financially im not there yet.
I live in the sweet spot of say 8-10 years , once the cars have taken a significant depreciation and have some noticeable wear and tear I can swoop in like a white knight to give them a life and home again
So yes buying a new C7 is a waste of money to me, only because I cant afford to take the loss , but keep an eye out in the next 5-7 years and you may see me in one.

I own both a C5 and a C7.
My C5 was going to be our HPDE recreational track car, but was not ready by my standards for our November track days so we ran C7's instead.
After tracking the C7's I am contemplating selling the C5 and buying a Miata for our serious track days and running our C7's when the urge comes to run a Corvette.
The C7's ran so good around the track I now think its going to take an additional $12k-$15K of stuff to get my C5 even close to where I want it to be and think putting that money into a Miata will help get me more wheel time which is what I am in need of at this point. Maybe one day I will be baller enough to track a C7 like lobsterrobo, poor-sha, X25 and all the other CF folks who are out there tracking it up in Corvettes.
The economics of consumables on any Corvette (C5, C6 or C7) are expensive and going to severely limit the number of track days I can afford per year.
I will miss the C5 but feel the C7 is superior in every way. Still debating if I should keep the C5 and just use it occasionally on the street since we have it perfectly sorted for that task already.
C7 > C5 IMO

Well said. I am going to do the same.
So, I got an 01 'vert about two months and a thousand miles ago. Sold my 75 to get it. Love the C5. LOVE IT. But I miss the C3, too.
When I see a C7...... I think it's time to build another garage. Because someday I have to have one.
In fact, I'd like to have one of each generation Corvette. I'd even like a C4... shhhh, don't tell anyone. Gimme a C1a (preferably a 54), a C1b -- with the coves (preferably a 57), a C2 (my favorite --67 BB coupe), a chrome bumper C3, a triple black late model C4 vert, a CE convertible C5, a ZO6 C6, and a C7 grandsport... I'll keep building garages until I have room for all of 'em. They're all vettes. And all cool.
Each one has style and personality to spare.
Each succeeding generation has tech and performance that the previous gen didn't.
And as many in this thread have already stated, all have their fans and detractors.
