Default Torch red with red interior?

May look at one and would like to hear how owners like them after a while. Do some think it's to much red after a while? I love red interiors but usually on black or silver cars. Harder to keep seats clean? Maybe black mats to break it up?

2000 that by Dad bought new and I now own.
I wouldn't have a Red corvette any other way.

If I had not bought this from him, I would have sought a White C5 with Torch Red interior.

I even added a little token Red under the hood.

You can't have too much red, except tires, black only on the tires please.

personally I don't like the red interior. When looking for my z06 I was specifically looking for the all black interior. My wife is the same way. When we were looking at a Bette for her she refused the red interior. It's all in what you like though

Red on red is very rare...believe me, I know, I look for them several times a week and they just aren't out there...new, I wouldn't have bought one any other way...

It all depends on your taste, nothing wrong with black interiors because they are for the masses. Car manufacturers need to sell the most cars and black is for the average joe or jane. Red is for the more aggressive buyers hence Porsche, Ferrari, and other high end or select limited production cars. Almost ALL of them have red interiors in some form or degree. I tend to love red and it harkens back to the iconic days of Corvette's with all red interiors.

Again there is nothing wrong with black if that's all you can afford.

My previous C5 was torch red with a torch red interior. I added black floor mats, a black cargo mat, and recovered the seats in two-tone with black on the outside and red insets. It was gorgeous and I received a ton of complimentary comments on it.

Red on Red seems to have low production numbers. For example--2001 Convertibles only had 268 made. And only 140 for 2001 Coupes.

I would have loved to have found one.

The Red on Red is one of my absolute favorite features of this car. It feels like you are driving something truly exotic; It never gets old!

I have a stock, low mileage,red/red/ black top 2002 convertible. I believe alot of new car buyers or dealers did not take a chance and order this combination, but IMO it is stunning. Would you have production numbers for red/red 2002 convertibles. Thanks

Red/Red/Black top 2002 Convertibles: 74 /auto and 34 /manual transmission for a total of 108 Convertibles in model year 2002 with that color combination. It is unusual to see a factory built C5 convertible where the top color doesn't match the interior color.

This info from book :"All 2001-2004 Corvette Colors" by Robert Casey, page 54.

This is interesting, is there a possible way to know how many 2002 torch red/mod red Z06's they built?

It is an acquired taste, that's for sure.

There was a funny article about the Corvette configuration tool had to be changed to allow people to chose red for interior color regardless of exterior color (or taste, apparently).

Red on red is a very nice color combo. I do not think I would get tired of that combo.

Not the greatest picture but I like my red/red 2000.
