Default Coolant tank question with photo.

I have a stock 2003 auto transmission with 62000 miles.

Does the coolant level look normal after a 10 minute commute? Is the coolant level low? I was running the a/c. What is that clod like object in the Tee? I have never added any coolant since I had the car at 12000 miles.

I am chasing a chirp in the belt route.

I leave a pool of condinsation on the garge floor but do not suspect I am leaking coolant.

I would have the cooling system flushed, and refilled with the proper antifreeze and proper level.

Yes there is a full line on the tank and
It is below the full cold mark.

I will just add some coolant.

yes, as others had said a clean and flush wouldn't hurt. here'a another note if you decide to change coolant.

COOLING SYSTEM BLEEDING
1. Fill system through radiator surge tank opening up to base of fill neck. Start engine and idle
for one minute. Install radiator surge tank cap. Cycle RPM from idle to 3000 in 30 second
intervals until engine coolant reaches 210°F (99°C). Shut off engine.
2. Loosen radiator surge tank cap. After all hissing stops, remove cap. Start engine. Idle engine
for one minute and fill surge tank to between FULL COLD and FULL HOT. Install radiator
surge tank cap. Cycle RPM from idle to 3000 in 30 second intervals until engine coolant
reaches 210°F (99°C). Shut off engine. Top off coolant as necessary.

The coolant reservoir is extra large to catch most coolant if over heating occurs. Dex cool is a long life coolant. Only use Dex/water when changing out. You can buy premix Dex and just add a little to the reservoir (if not changing out) The full cold line is way down on the reservoir, there is no full hot line.

Since you were running the A/C, chances are the condensation on the floor is from that system - perfectly normal. I'd be worried if the liquid on the garage floor had a color to it, like orange, red, etc.

You could always put a little of the fluid on your finger and see if it is really slick feeling.

Thanks I think I saw my full cold line is on the front and at the top of the tank. I did not see a full hot line.

I know it is condensation because of my routine and the fact that I do not have garage doors and everything in there sweats. I have not found any colors or smells. No worries there. It was perplexing at first. LSTMTT

I will top it off for now and then later on next week I will check around for a commercial flush.

I had mine done at my dealer, they use a machine that sucked the old fluid out, flushed and refilled. It was amazing to see all the hoses shrink down, even the heater hoses. I think it was around $100.'s, and no issues with having air bubbles and doing the burping. Sometimes it just worth the extra money to have an expert do the job.

If mine is a good solid color, I leave it alone. If I tear into the engine for any reason then I flush and replace.

R\F looking aft.
I need a new A\C belt. After chasing the squeak I silicon sprayed the a\c ideler pulley and it hushed. I replaced the main idler and tension pullies after a failed attempt at a bearing regrease before reading the post about special bearing grease.

I also believe that it is not the bearings squeaking but the dust cover making hi-freq but pulley bearing related?IDK.

Looks like both belts need to come off any but way.

Search a/c belt removal.

I have a catch can located in front of the R\F tire. I read somewhere about locating it away from heat blah blah blah so anyhow this is where my catch can is. I am not sure if I like this set up or catch can.

I was a quart low with 35% oil life on the DIC. This is what I got out of it today.

This is what I got the last time I opened it on 9/18/16.

Nothing else. I am done.
