Decide now if you are going to go forced induction because the cam profile requirements for NA vs supercharging vs turbocharging are completely different.

Okay thanks good to know. I edited my original post to not include cams that suit a procharged car.

What you are going to get is a bunch of guys basically telling you to get the cam they have and I'm going to do the same.

For a basic cam only setup with great driveability, great useable mid range power, I can't recommend a cam more than the FTI Streetsweeper HT.

Awesome idle sound, great torque, and plenty of power. My car with basic bolt ons (1 3/4" long tubes, x pipe, stock cat back, stock ported tb, fast 78 intake, and a vararam made 420/402)

I'll second Nos with the torquer style of cam. I really enjoy having power everywhere and it may not make a great peak number but area under the curve is faster and so much fun to drive.

If you aren't going to have headers you need to stay on the smaller side of things and also have more duration on the exhaust to help make up for it.

Something like a 224/228 .588 .588 on a 114lsa is a good cam with a nice rumble at idle. You can also use it with a supercharger too down the road. I'd get some headers though with it.
