Giving up my 2003 Z06 for a Jaguar or a Benz after 1.5 years
Hello guys,
it had been fun and this place is a great source for information and advice. People are genuine here. A little about me. I came from Mercedes, Lexus, and Acura. I enjoy cars that have class and are very reliable, These are are the things that I did not find in a z06.
I am looking at a Mercedes GL450 or the Jaguar XJL Suporsport. I'm looking for comfort and class, things that the corvette lacks, plus I'm also going for reliability. 510 horsepower of the jag will be a pretty impressive motor.
Loved punching on the corvette and it did very well. .
Who knows, maybe I'll be a Corvette owner again.

Huh. I came from New Jersey by way of Boston. Wish my parents had opted for the Mercedes route.

Class is not something you can buy.
Reliability is not something that a Mercedes or Jaguar are known for.
Comfort is not something found in a true sportscar.
A Corvette is not for everyone.

I'm confused. Why would anyone expect reliability out of a 15 year old performance car that only goes for about $2OK these days?
And why would anyone expect luxury out of a car where the number one complaint is the quality of the interior?
Did you not even research for a moment the car you bought less than 2 years ago?

I'm confused -- you're not just switching brands,
you're switching from a sportscar to either an SUV (MB GL 450) or a sedan (XJL)
Mercedes

Jaguar

Going from a Z06 to an AMG 63 or Jag XKF would make more sense, at least to me.

Perhaps the members on the Mercedes/Lexus/Acura forums will enjoy your presence. To bad it didn't work out here.

Safety Car
As someone who owns two SC V8 Jaguars and loves them, do not expect a Toyota Corolla. If you do not do your own work, or own it in warranty, you will spend a lot to own it. A lot more than a C5Z.

Lol at half of the replies in this thread. People here are so closed minded when it comes to other brands. I've never understood it, there are too many great cars out there to limit yourself to one make or model. Come on people, live a little
