In the ls1how to the author give good advice on when to instal the longtubes if your doing at the same time as a cam.
Does anyone have details on the AIR tube and 02s for ARH off road long tubes?
Thanks

Having recently gone down this road, I can give you my insight.
I purchased all the parts myself piece by piece by doing research on these forums. Here's what I ended up purchasing:
LG G5XE cam - I went with this cam because my C5Z is my daily driver and I needed it to be as streetable as possible. Yes, I wanted more power, but drivability was a priority
Comp 921 valvesprings- yes they are pricey, but all my research said these were one of the best and I wanted to make sure to do this right the first time and have peace of mind
Texas Speed Hardened Push rods
Cam install gasket set from Brian Tooley
C5R timing chain
Melling High Pressure Oil pump
LG Super Pro 1 3/4" Long tube headers with catted x-pipe
Ported and polished stock 243/LS6 heads- I had a very reputable shop here in Southern California (American Heritage Performance) do the install of all the above parts and also port my heads. They also did a street tune and dyno tune.
With all the above the car put down 452rwhp and 431rwtq. Not too shabby at all and EXACTLY where I was hoping to be. The guys at AHP said it drives just like a stock C6 Z06 and that's what i wanted from this setup and I got it.
So how's the drivability? Pretty close to stock with a few issues, that I've been told should be able to be fixed by some tuning touch ups. Just get the occasional surging and bucking, especially in 2nd gear under 1500 rpm and sometimes it takes a few trys to get the engine started (sounds like it's starved for fuel or something).
I'm still on the fence if I want to go FAST 102 ported intake manifold and ported throttle body to finish up the engine build. If I can find a nice used set for cheap, I may do it. Should hopefully net me an additional 20rwhp or so.

you can get those # with a smaller cam contact mamo
saw his C5 car evolve from stock to an 11 sec car
Had a smallish cam; unless you were a car guy wtih a good ear youd think it was stock. No surge, nothing and ran very hard. Made 48x rwhp?
real good head+small cam > not so great heads and big cam

Honestly, alot of things man.
First off, took a month to get my stuff...
I really aint impressed with the headers. One of the flanges is bent. I was shocked. I could see it by eye, then held a straight edge to it and i cringed.... Only some of it is tig welded. The collectors are mig and so is the xpipe and 02 bungs. For 1700 USD i expected ALOT MORE.
I own a textile plant and we print, dye fabrics and garments. Im a meticulus guy and I'm also the head machinest and I do alot of tig welding stainless pipe all 316. I was expecting quality welds. The mig welds look as if drunk children welded em.up.
The exhaust manifold gaskets were folded LOL! What a joke!! What gaskets should I ask my local chevy dealer for?
The TSP pushrod bores are all diferent sizes at the extremites and are rough and have burrs at the orifices. Should I shamfer them?
The CHE trunion kit has some defect in the trunions and one score inside one of the bronze bushings. I think it will be ok..will post pics for everyones advise when i get a chance..
The ending edge of the springs all look different. I dont know how they are made, but some lool clean cut, while others look like the ends were broken off.
This is the first time I'm doing a job like this so maybe I'm being too ****... we will find out soon.

i would have them send you a return postage paid label, i would not deal with fixing a set of $1,700 headers honestly
or even try to find out of they have a dealer in canada maybe to work with you

dented headers with bad welds, bent gaskets, jacked up trunion kit & pushrods?
like they new its going to Canada dump it on him, no way in the world would i put up with the whole order having a problem! you spent cash for new quality products and what you got looks like stuff that didnt pass quality control, i'd start with a call to TSP and tell them see what they say
