Default Experience with the Kumho V720 ACR?

I'm going to have limited mileage left on a pair of used 345/30/19 R888s by the time I get them on and although I have loved my current R888s, I'm not excited about spending $500+/ea for replacement R888Rs when the time comes. I accidentally came across the 355/30/19 Kumho Escsta V720 ACR and they look too good to be true. Significantly cheaper, equal or better all around grip than the R888, am I missing something? The slight increase in diameter is welcomed since I have 4.10s with a blower anyway. I've only seen a few reviews so far but a couple guys on Tire Rack with C6 Z06s love them...

My only experience with Kumho tires is I had set of their 275 & 335 V700 Victoracers on a protouring A-body and those things were the stickiest rubber I've ever used, like flypaper.
That 355 is 27.5" tall, though. If you have the room, might give them a try.

I'm really leaning towards it when the time comes, they're unbelievably "cheap". Makes me wonder if they're discontinuing/closing them out soon. Should have room for them with the CC fenders.

They are definitely worth getting for your application. The Viper ACR-E came with them from the factory....the rear tires have been great from a traction and longevity standpoint compared to the front version. The super short 25 series front tires wear out in as little as one track day due to the aero and literally no sidewall squish (my opinion on why they wear out so quickly). A lot of the Viper guys are running the V720 ACR on the rear and Hoosiers on the front. For the money, I'd buy two sets if you're prone to doing a lot of burnouts.

Good to hear! I'll probably stick with a set of R888Rs on the front, I won't be tracking it any time soon.

Sorry man, I intend to squeeze as much life out of the used R888s as I can. I won't be buying them for hopefully at least a year. I've read nothing but good things about them so far though.

That is the tire banned by many sanctioning events no? SCCA and Optima don't allow them due to being a "cheater" tire if I recall, so they must be worth it in relation to the 200TW rule LOL.

UMI Performance had their King of the Mountain event and put a bounty out for anyone winning the event on something OTHER than a ACR tire.

Wait what? Really? Lol. That might explain the cheaper prices of them if people can't use them for racing... Haha

Will these wheels throw any codes or traction control issues since diameter is a little larger. Trying to decide between 19 or 20 wide rear wheels/ tires. Worried the 25 sidewall might be to thin and not look right. Any input on the codes would be helpful

Mrr m755 wheels... 19x12 rears. Looks like the 355 are .7” larger in diameter. Will that throw codes? Was considering doing 20x12 but concerned about the sidewall thickness being so thin...

What size front tires? A 345/30/19 is 27.2" tall, a 355/30/19 is 27.5". The latter is starting to push it, diameter-wise. I've run a 1.6" diameter difference between the front & rear tires, without any issues, on my car. Have a 1.4" difference, now.

A 345/30/19 has a 3.6" tall sidewall, a 345/25/20 has a 3.4" sidewall,,not enough to worry about, IMO.
