Is anyone running the Michelin Pilot Super Sport's on a base coupe? (yes, I realize it's a summer tire. No need for AS here in Florida. )
I realize everyone has their favs, just really looking to hear opinions on these in particular.

You started it so here goes. Before buying replacement tires for the run flats, I looked at CF postings on tires. A zillion!!!!! So I ask my vette mechanic what he recommended. Not being a tire expert or anything associated with a car expert especially a C5, I took his advice and bought NITTO INVO DTD. They are quite and I am very pleased with the ride. So now you will get a zillion more suggestions.

Very easily one of the best tires you can buy. I have them on my car and they're excellent at any speed. Quiet and sticky but a little pricey.

Not my C5 but I run the MPSS's on my dd C7 Z51 - wouldn't run anything else. I'm amazed at how much mileage I'm getting on these on my C7 and the ride is great. I commute ~100 miles a day on a combination of canyon roads and highway here in SoCal. Awesome tire.

I had them on my car until about a year ago when I got wrecked by an 18 wheeler and they were all flat spotted.
As said above, a little pricey, but loved them feel. Mine had about 3-4 thousand miles on them before my booboo.

Thanks to all who replied with their experiences. I know that I can get cheaper tires but my line of thinking is that my butt is worth a few bucks more. Gawd I'll be glad to get rid of these freekin run flats. I didn't think they were EVER gonna wear out.

I don't think I'll ever buy a different high performance summer tire.
The PSS is too good.
The biggest plus to these tires are the manners. They behave like 95% of an all season (low noise, nice ride etc) but they also grip like crazy (for what they are) and feel great when being pushed.
