If you sold your vette, what would you get next?
I sold my 02 z06 which was supercharged and had a few other goodies
I sold it for no other reason then I was able to come out of it ahead without taking any losses on it whatsoever , which was a very tough decision for me but was the smart thing to do.
Also I really want a widebody and due to the car being metallic silver, it would probably never be a 100% match and that would bother me a lot.
So now I'm back at square one, and wondering what to get next.
I am the kind of guy that really likes the extreme end of things, like extreme widebodys, lowered with that aggressive look
And I cant seem to find anything within a reasonable price range that can give me the WOW factor better then getting another Z06, it really does seem to be the best "bang for the buck"
The only other cars I'm leaning towards:
-dodge vipers
-dodge challengers
Im also wondering if perhaps jumping up to a C6 (always disliked them) might work, only because they make some very aggressive widebody kit but they are way overpriced in my opinion, especially the z06's
Anyways, if you were looking for a new car in the $30k range, what would you get?

Burning Brakes
BMW M Series. Extremely well built cars. They are on the expensive side when it comes to maintenance though.

When I see bmw 750's selling for $5-$6k then I know something is very wrong.
I would love to own an S65 amg one day, but you cant own one of those cars without taking heavy losses, either on depreciation or cost to own.

For me, it would be a first gen CTS V. I wouldn't sell my C5 though, they would be side by side. Probably both LS3 or LS7 swapped too.
Hey, a guy can dream, right?

You're aiming to Dodge and don't want German; losing me. I also was gonna say an M, it's likely what I'd buy if I sold and had a $30K budget.

Interior is really nice though
Challengers seem pretty good too
Im not particularly into dodges, its just those two models seem to have something I really like

Looks like maybe a Hovercraft?
With the local streets run down to the current state, I have lost all interest in driving the past few years - can barely get out of my driveway without hitting a pothole. Something is wrong when you see the tanks roll in to Iraq on the news and all you can do is stare with envy at their roads!
I have had 10 new Corvettes over the years and driven my 2001 C5 every day for nearly 17 years, but there is no way I would ever buy another Corvette living here - certainly not at C7 prices.

Most of these streets are just like driving down railroad tracks - I have to laugh at forum threads that talk about what kind of tires and suspension mods to upgrade to (forget "lowering") - what is the point when you are down to dirt and gravel! I actually could not get out of my driveway a couple weeks ago due to a sinkhole in the alley until the city came out and patched it!
It does not appear to affect new vehicle sales, but looks like everyone now buys pickup trucks and SUVs - maybe because some of them have no choice now. You would have to be a masochist to buy a sports car today.

And as for the OP - I'd try the Viper....way to many Challengers out there now...and they're overweight...
