If you sold your vette, what would you get next?

I was being facetious. Prior to the Vette I had an STi, which while it was very quick, obnoxiously loud, bumpy, etc. at it's core was still a four door sedan. I could carry 5 people and their luggage if need be in a pinch. It had AWD so I could drive it in the winter if I wanted to and it wasn't something that had issues with ground clearance, etc. The Vette was a 2 seater that was solely for driving pleasure. I had to watch ground clearance again, etc, etc.
The price at the end of the Supra's life was one of the reasons it died in the US, outside of OBDII, which killed the TT 6MT for a year (I forget if it was 96 or 97). IIRC the last year of production the price was dropped like $10,000 to get it out the door.
However, now one in good shape, especially low mileage turbos are getting well into the 30K and up range, with some of the more desirable configurations getting into the 50, 60 and 70K range. Blame the original The Fast and the Furious.
I like the rear spoiler and would have added one if the car didn't come with one if I could have afforded it.
Then again, I had an STi with it's shopping cart rear wing. It was my favorite thing about the car.

When I finally googled the car and checked it out I was like wtf ..it looks like a Hyundai Tiburon ......
Its like the ultimate ricer . teenage fanboy car.....yes it can make a lot of power and hold it , its very well built, but its not very good looking, interior is nothing too special, and I just don't see the appeal at all...I never have
If speed is all your looking for then you can build a 10 second Honda civic for 1/3rd the price

I have always liked Supras and spent a bunch of years looking at the Mark III and IV cars. Some guys here have wanted a Corvette for years because it's a Corvette. That's how I feel about the Supra.

The first wave of import car culture was at its zenith when I was 18 and the first Fast and the Furious came out. I dreamt of the Supra, Integra Type R, etc when I was working on actively making my Accord look and handle better but go exactly no faster.

I think I missed the boat on the fast and furious movies, I didn't watch them till a couple years ago ....acura type R's were pretty cool when I was younger, and the GSR's, but I was never really in love with them
For me its more the fact that everyone raved so much about the supra it turned me off completely....I feel its sort of over rated and definitely overpriced

All this Supra talk I have a 2004 Z06 and an MK3 Turbo in the garage. (MK3 is for sale, 61,000 original miles)
My daily driver is my fun car and you might consider it a joke but it puts a big smile on my face every time I drive it. John Cooper Works Mini Cooper.
I truly love my Z06, but their is something special about the Mini, lightweight, big torque, great suspension and now it has a BMW motor instead of a Peugeot motor.
I know it goes the complete opposite direction of your high horsepower cars but the driving experience is what does it for me.
Perhaps a late model Pontiac GTO with the LS motor?

This no doubt... I'm looking at them now. This is the dream car for me. A decent one can be had for high 30s to lo 40s. Only around 2000 blue and white ones produced.
Would keep the vette for a daily though

That is weird I never saw that resemblance and I always liked the Supra but never wanted to own one. I respect it for how capable it is but I would feel like a dork driving one. Then the tiburon well I have always hated everything that Hyundai and Kia have ever made there products are complete garbage that are slapped together **** boxes. When I was a technician for Mazda for years the auto group I worked for owned 7 dealerships and a body shop. The Mazda dealer I worked for had a average of 3 to 5 percent warranty work compared to the rest being customer pay so services and maintenance. The Hyundai dealership next door to us had a 40 percent warranty to customer pay average. If that doesn't speak to the lack of quality in Korean vehicles I don't know what will.
A friend has an early Hyundai Genesis sedan, mileage currently approaching 200k. Only "failure" has been a water pump. Fairly typical, I believe.

I really don't care about the specs...its just no comparison to a Stingray (Chevy flagship) Just another grocery getter in fancy clothes. Ask anyone what they would rather own. IMHO (dont get offended) since you asked.
