Dry Car Wash
I remember reading about a dry car wash and I can't remember
what brand it was, but it seems that many people were raving about it.
Can guys that use it please give me some info?
I know it comes with some kind of waffle cloth,
and I can't recall if that should be washed either.
Is it sold at auto parts stores or only at on-line stores? My car is black, and anybody that owns a black car knows that if you look at it the wrong way it scratches.
Thanks in advance!!

oil products are defined into two categories, Perto based non organic and Organic Plant based organic Petro based products "
NEVER " DECOMPOSE" or turn into something else on their own... its only when exposed to high carbon atoms that their properties turn acidic... ...
Petro based products never turn into something else when oxegenated.Ot left exposed to the air. Not so with plant based orgnics which exhibit regeneration of organic orgnisms, ( mold ) and smell rancid... you will " never see a can of petro based products growing mold.
Ive come here with 40 years of experience on the engineering level and. have taught engineering to 4th and 5th years automotive engineering students... I come here after a very successful career with GM, ive taught thosands here.. many have moved on but there will always be a group of wanna Bees tryng to knock some one with far more experience, both educationally and with practical hands on skills... these wanna bees stand out like a sore thumb because they are clueless, and because the can on an internet forum... trying to be something they could never be, in a forum that has many wide eyes open neubies, who tell me all the time, they thought anyone with tenure here are experts on Corvette issues, Which is far from the case.. But over my 16 years here, these wannabe legends intheir own mind, have come and gone.. many inflicting serious damage to those seaking their advice, and took it from the wrong person. thats the reason why I say all the time, " be very careful who you listen to here in this forum" .You see, I know who they are and more importantly " they know I know.." which spoils their gig here. they spend alot of time saying nothing but making alot of noise..
I dont spend much time here any more, because I am too old and too sick.. but every once in a while I have to put my foot down. laugh at the laughable, and feel sorry for a few. who pretend to be somethingthey could nevwr be in real life. Its fairly easy to see who these people are.

I don't know about anyone else, but I cringe at the idea of rubbing anything on my paint without having first running TONS of clean water over it to at least rinse off the standing dust etc. I also use an in-line filter to remove all the minerals and other crap that is in Chicago water.
Yeah, black IS bad with swirls and scratches, but I think using the "water-less" cleaner is going to make it even worse.
As an aside, I have a black motorcycle, and use the Turtle Wax Black Box system, it has a paint cleaner / polish and black wax. If you follow the instructions, it works pretty well taking swirls out.

P.S. If you go though a swamp or mud pit, it is best to hose off the car first. Other than that road dirt will only require a waterless wash.

Yeah, glbeauchamp, I don't know about that Meguiar's stuff for claying, but I am a Zaino dude, used it for years on my BMW's, so I don't really experiment that much now, I use Zaino pretty much for all my cars.

I saw this at Wally World the other day and just about bought it but didn't. I have not crossed the fence to waterless yet but with a couple good reviews of the meguiars I will convert. I have wanted to try Chadwick's for a long time now but the price and lack of availability has held me off. With this product it is cheap comparatively and if I run out I can get it at the store and not have to wait for a order. Well that is it I just talked myself in to it.

Thanks for all of the comments, I appreciate them
I'm going to buy Chadwick's Triple Play Complete Car Care System
THE BEST PRICE I CAN FIND IS IT ECKLERS FOR $70.
http://www.ecklerscorvette.com/corve...re-system.html
Is there any place that has a better price, or does that sound about right?
Whatever the case may be, I'm going to get it and see what the results are by testing it on a portion of one body panel.
My idea is to run it over that panel in a vertical orientation and horizontal next to the other in my garage. Then I will move the car into direct sunlight for a very close look at the outcome.
Worst case scenario is that I spent $70 for something I don’t' like.
I’ve spent a lot more than $70 for all kinds of other things I don’t use.

$70.00 + shipping is the going rate for the CTP starter kit. Check with Niel as he is adding distributors which might save you on shipping if you're lucky. National Parts Depot is local to me.

Go to a large car show. Many owners of the top customs and hot rods use water-less car washes. That is where I first saw it used many years ago.

I never allow my car to get really dirty, so I just rinse it off really good, dry it with a backpack blower and use a product I get off the internet called Dry Wash n Guard. It seems to work really well.
