I'm driving down the road yesterday and all of a sudden I see this torch red C5 parked in the front corner of a Podunk used car dealership. They maybe had 25 vehicles on their lot. So I stopped to take a look. It was a 2000 HBC with a 6 speed and a red interior. I just about pissed myself! Not only was it the rare red on red, cosmetically, it looked to be in perfect condition. I couldn't find one mark in the paint anywhere, not on the front, or behind the wheel wells, and the interior, even the driver's seat, looked to be perfect. Whomever owned it must have kept it garaged and clean all the time. The dealership was closed being a Sunday and all, but I plan on going back on Friday to see about a test drive. I wasn't planning on buying yet, but how long will it be before I come across a mint condition red on red HBC 6M? I obviously don't know what condition it's in mechanically, but judging by it's cosmetics, I'd be shocked if it wasn't taken care of just as well mechanically. Anyone here know of a forum member in the Dayton OH area with such a car?

Love Corvette red...just has to be the most attractive red on the pallet. Good luck on getting it and post pics.

I don't have a choice...I work in IL and the car is in OH...I'll be there Friday and hopefully it'll still be there ....

If it's the one in Fairborn I checked it out a couple weeks ago and it's a nice car, just think they were asking too much for it.
