Finished up my audio install. New front and rear speakers. Sounds amazing. Already had a double din kenwood and jl sub. New speakers are focal components. Installed the tweeters in the door latches. Hated to cut them up but a much better location than the stock location.

Attended Cavalcade of Corvettes Car Show. Was a nice turnout, with some beautiful Vettes. The weather didn't play nice, and kept us wet most of the day, but I didn't care after I won 2nd Place for the C5 Class.

replaced battery terminals, the hex nut on negative terminal was getting stripped and wanted a very tight fit for the voltage sensitive C5.

Installed Big 3 from upgrade today. Recently installed new audio system with an amp thought this would be a good companion upgrade.

Default Fathers Day tune up

Decided to do my favorite thing nowadays and work on my C5. Cleaned the engine compartment, changed plugs and wires, runs sweet now, and vacuum the interior. Found out factory CD player don't work so next project is going to be a new sound system..

Curt, that's excellent work! I taught metal shop from 1973-77, before CNC became prevalent. I assume you used that type of machine? What material did you use ? Looks like it's 1/4" thick or so? How did you mount it? I've been wanting exhaust plate for a long time, but I want something different.

So you got it into town now? Nice milestone.

I had some free time since my new granddaughter isn't quite here yet so I removed my rear sway bar to repaint it. Thought it might be like painting it and then putting it into an oven as HOT as it is out.

I was going to paint it my purple color but my paint must have been older then I thought because it only sprayed out silver with a little purple. So I'll need to get more mixed up to finish it.

It will be here early Tuesday. My buddy got tired. Stopped for the night.

Your bar is looking good. And congrats on the upcoming granddaughter!!

Fixed my broken shift indicator on my A4 and replaced the bulb with an LED while I was in there. I was able to pull it out with my fingers--much brighter now. Definitely showed signs of the heat on all components.
I also installed a SLP spoiler that I've had for a while. Fit is not perfect but it's real close. Took a bit of finesse and building up areas with the 3M tape to get it looking flush.

Stopped by the paint shop after the doctor appointment and got another can of purple pearl mixed up. Looks better now. Probably won't be able to tell much difference from the black that it was but I'll know.

It has been that way in JAX for 3 weeks. I'm clearing out work space in the garage.
