Burning Brakes
front splitter
It was only 100 degrees out in the garage at 10 AM, so I thought I'd loose some weight while sweating and painting the inside my exhaust tips flat black again as the paint was rubbing off somehow. The wife said I was NUTS...
They look brand new again. Also installed my painted sway bar last weekend. Not perfect but you can't see it much anyway.
Think it's to low?
I actually had the back end on jack stands and this is how close it comes to the ground in the front.

2015 C5 of the Year Winner
Sorry to say but it's not a real carbon splitter. That's actually a carbon fiber vinyl I installed. When my clear bra I had on it got damaged I took it off and it also took some paint with it. So I had to do something with it and instead of getting it painted again I elected to try this carbon vinyl stuff. It's the 5D carbon I got off the auction site. It's held up great and been on for over a year now.

I thought this would be a good place for us to post what we are doing to our C5's which can help share ideas/pictures of your daily project(s).
Ill start - today I replaced my directional bulb, after buying my first jack...Im very proud of myself cause I've never been a DIY guy...
Im now going to be getting her ready for the upcoming Car Shows in my local area!!

No kit, All scratch built, C5 chassis that was prototype for another project. I purchased it & fitting it with an old CanAm body from 1969. Stretched a little, 420-inch LS, just a little fab.....

That's even more impressive! I can't even imagine how many hours I'm going to spend on building mine, much less all from scratch. Congrats!!

Its therapy for me, I enjoy the build/fab work. No time-line, I want something new/old.
