What did you do to your C5 today?

Yesterday I installed a rear spoiler after painting it matte black. Pics below.
Today my wife and I rode in the Memorial Day Parade down Main St. in Westcliffe, CO in my Vette. I had to follow a guy in a C7 Vette (Hennessey, 600 HP).
I think my C5 got more looks and waves than his did as well as many compliments.

That looks really good, as I have been considering doing something like that to mine. If you don't mind what kind of spoiler is that and was it tape or bolt installed?

Gene,
It's a stick-on type, however, they have a bolt-on one for the same price.... the.sawtooth is the eBay vendor... https://www.ebay.com/itm/1997-2004-Unpainted-Chevrolet-Corvette-C5-C6-Style-Custom-Lipmount-Spoiler/112993523071?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3A IT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649
Very good communication and service - shipped fast and arrived quickly. It comes in a finished condition and painted with a light gray primer - ready to paint. They also sell one with your choice of finished paint color - at a higher price.

Replaced my dead Clarion NX501 with a Kenwood DMX7704S.
Really like the Apple CarPlay... installed the Bluetooth Mic on the driver side A Pillar.
I also ran the two USB interfaces to the center console and replaced the cigarette lighter with a dual USB Socket.
All went well.

Drifting
Moved mine to a friend's house yesterday 10 miles inland because I didn't want to get it flooded from a 2-4' storm surge predicted for Alberto, since I live right directly on the Gulf of Mexico. May go to pick it up later today or in the AM, and it should be all washed off for me ready for the ride home.

Driving in the Westcliffe, CO Memorial Day Parade - photos by local bystanders.
I shot dash-cam video throughout the drive. It was fun.
Above is the C7 Hennessey 600 HP Vette I followed in the parade. The guy was a HOOT. He said he's a boxer (see gloves), runs a boxing club, and said he has 5 Vettes, this one being this latest acquisition. He said he stole this Vette - price-wise.

Finally got car out, put some test miles on to adjust the coilovers, & see how my new tire & wheel package looks, handles & rides.

At 7,200 miles I installed my 3rd exhaust (OEM, ti Z06, now a Corsa Sport), over the last year since I've owned it I've upgraded the sway bars to C6/Z51's F&R with HD links, swapped out the silver wheels and 18 yr old tires for polished wheels and new BFG Comp AS tires, and installed red Z06 fuel rail covers for some under hood pop... now i have to get behind the wheel and exercise that odometer!

In the last week, I've cut my list of mods/fixes in half.
I gutted my ACA HID system today and have the RF Luminator low-rise kit assembled and ready for testing. I completed remote mounting my coils. Fixed a loose body panel connector on the frame. Firmed up the mounting system for the headlights. Refreshed several grounds in the engine bay. Replaced the turn signals from white switchbacks to bright orange led more like factory. I also got some replacement pulleys ready to go for the blower bracket. But the blower work will be tomorrow. Also some final wiring for the remote coils to adjust the loom so the connectors which sit dead center on the intake will sweep back at the corners and to the side where I can connect the remote extensions and keep them less visible. Etc etc.
It's been a week of thrashing. I hope to get it driveable AND clean in time for a big car show on Monday night. I'm asking too much, but I can try!

Made my LED tail lights into flush mounts.
I’d post a video but I’m not having any luck so here some before and after.
Someone posted a link for a kit to do it for 35 but, boredom it’s a bitch lol. I need to adjust the adapters i out in the screws so there perfectly flush. Spacers I used werec 11/8 inch of rubber tubing that each screw secures them on. While I had the tail lights off i bought two new side marker LED’s
The problem with threse is you can see whoever had them before me screwed them on tight enough to crack a little. Dick lol

Here’s a pic of the route I took to stick the lights out further. There’s more than one way to skin a cat. I’m sure there is a better way but it was spur of the moment and I wasnt exactly reinventing the wheel here.

Got a new windshield installed. Back to being chip free again.
Now I just need to put it back together tomorrow before it gets to hot in the garage.
