Now the real work is set to begin.
Kinda bummed out she'll be down a few weeks to a month depending on tuner availability.

Thank you sir.
Texas Speed CNC ported my 243 heads that I already had laying around. 2.02 intake valves. PAC springs. The Cam going in will be a BTR Stage 2 N/A cam.
It already has long tubes and an LS6 manifold, I didn't want to go too terribly crazy at this time as the car will be tuned with the original 97 PCM for now.
Long term plans will eventually be a PCM conversion to the common style and then do an LS2 block based stroker and put these heads on it.

Burning Brakes
Rebuilt my driver's side Corbeau A4 after having the seat base shaved down an inch.
Also picked up a set of OEM seats to rebuild. They're a bit janky being a flood car, but I think they'll clean up quite well once I get the electronics sorted. I regretted selling my OEM seats about a year after I did so, so this lets me have a spare set in case I don't drop the weight that's making the A4s uncomfortable.

Hi, excuse my english.
Installed a Battery Load Monitor (Tonwon TW20)
Connects to my phone via Bluetooth. Now I could know the battery state without opening the hood...great product and a really easy installation!
Also, I tried this (Moonar mini ELM327)
with Torque Android APP but, no way...The app stucks searching for a compatible protocol.
And finally...One week ago, the battery was totally discharged in about 4 days, so I made a fast test and, yes, I have a power drain (0.4A)...now I need time for the "fuse hunting" process.

Safety Car
Installed a racetronix fuel pump. Not my favorite part to swap...I hate dealing with gas on everything...and my wife complains about the smell...lol

Finally got it on a lift
After going to 3 shops I found one that could be driven on . They wouldn’t let me get under the lift but I could see lt headers with a pipe after that had 02 bungs , the cats are gone and it has an x pipe I asked but they couldn’t see if it’s a 3 rib diff but with a June build date I hope so . No damage or leaks found so that’s a plus got a $1000 labor estimate for cam and springs only . Was a good day

An hour and a half worth of work done last night.
Should have the heads off by lunch today. No, I'm not working on it at 230 in the morning.

More progress. Down to getting the rack out of the way and yanking the heads off. Then lots of cleanup before reassembly.

Honestly for me it's not the engine part of the PCM swap that scares me, its getting the other few bits of the interface to function properly.
Good luck on your swap.
