Gave mine a quick, cool wash ... it's about 20 degrees today... and then went for a nice interstate cruise!
I absolutely love the reliability/durability of these cars! Smiles for miles!!

Mine is about a year and a half at the most. I think the heat down here plays into that too. This is the 1st time I've painted them but I like the change. Good luck with yours.

Oldtimer
Give yourself more time, especially in the twisties. The ride will seem less harsh and the handling will impress you more!
I have C6Z06 sways and shocks. Ride is firmer and more controlled, handling is flat and fun!

I finally decided to go ahead and try the sway bars. With 18" C5 Z06 wheels at all four corners and 305's all around, I love how balanced the car is. Being an FRC, it already had the C5 Z51 suspension. I think these shocks and sways compliment the car well.

Thank you for the compliment. The wife actually talked me into putting them on quite a few years ago. It's got a bit of a reputation around here and people tell me it's part of the cars character so they need to stay on for now. Probably take them off at some point I'm sure though.

Well I was off to a real slow start yesterday and had to shovel out part of the driveway.
Got rollin after lunch though. Today I have to stop procrastinating and get the damn headers put back in.

Project steering shaft clearance couldn't have turned out any better if I tried.

Burning Brakes
Got to work on my junk seats.
They look pretty decent, right? The PO told me he pulled them from a car with flood damage. The driver's side will go front and back, and the rear will go up and down, but the front doesn't work as well as the lumbar. I haven't tested the passenger side yet, but according to the owner they would move forward and back but nothing else. He said the motors would spin and the lumbar pumps inflate, so I figure I'll try and figure out what's going on.
I started disassembling and here I am.
If you look at the bottom seat cushion everything brown is likely mold. I tossed all the foam.
I started cleaning up all the material, I figure some APC and CLR should de-rust most of the components. I've got the original seat control modules and wiring from my stock seats, so I can test if it's a junk module or what.
The inside of the seat covers. Originally I was going to save them as they looked decent enough with some good cleaning, but now I'm wondering. Thoughts?
