Dual zone climate control with the digital readout was a option just like fog lights or magnesium wheels. Someone had to check off the box for the dual zone climate control or you got the standard controls.

Probably cheaper to trade cars than retrofit the hvac system.

I kinda wondered at first why there was nothing behind the temp sensor little insert in the dash.
