Amazon Amazon

This was the kit I used on my 01. Although Amazon says it doesn't fit, this kit fit without issue. I did the install with a friend. Made it a lil bit easier when installing the water pump. Be sure you are careful when removing the B-nut from the dryer. Also be sure to NOT OVERFILL the system of oil. The compressor showed up to my door had oil in it.

Hey friend I looked at that one on Amazon looks great and a good price too. Did you use a certain link or directions on the install? Was wondering if I have to take the headers off to remove it?

My ac comp weeps at the seam and I can't justify replacing because it rarely needs topping off but the leak is annoying me. At least there is a cost effective compressor out there to buy.

3x on the Amazon Kit and Rocco's how to . . . make sure you get the suction screen it's AC Delco p/n 15-2817. Also, use mineral oil on o-rings, not PAG oil.

Default 97 C5 AC Compressor change out finally done!!

Well my husband and I finished installing my new AC Compressor, Orifice Tube, Accumulator and gaskets for the waterpump!! I appreciate all the help and answers to my many questions, it made the job a lot faster!
I'm gonna share some of the photos and yes I know I have a bad oil leak and yes we are going to be fixing it next...
By having good folks on here telling me where to get the best deal on the parts I needed for this job to the writeups that I was told to look at for installation I have to say really help us out!
You guys Rock!
