Thanks for noticing my vette.
Your car is looking good. What fenders are those? I can't quite tell from the pic are the fronts flared too?

Default Drop Spindles worth the $$?

As the subject says, are the drop spindles worth it? Have you driven it lowered without them and able to compare? I have been on the fence about getting a set.

Yes, the front's are flared 1 1/2 in. and 4 in on rear.
Old flares, now, made by TPE Los Vegas NV. I am not
sure if they are in business these days. I would recommend
finding flares some where else.
Thanks for the kudo's. I should take a new picture of the old vette; it
has changed again.

It's cool to conversate here about lowering and whatever. I just ask that we keep it civil please, and be at least somewhat on track I'm a little interested in drop spindles too, but DAMN they expensive!

I'm only 1/2 way super low, but there's some pretty high ones in here. I'm also looking for front spindles to drop it on its nuts.

So is there a way to quantify how much handling is affected by lowering. Maybe in a percentage. Like 1 inch = this much percent...or does it just look cool?

I think that the only way to quantify any negative effects of lowering would be in the form of lap times...set a baseline laptime (average of 5 laps at your local road course), lower the car, and repeat the same day.

Too bad someone doesn't make an adjustable air ride kit for the C5...parked you could slam it, then raise it back up to stock ride height for less scraping while driving...

My wheels are Forgestar CF5, 18x9.5 & 19x11. I had them painted a GM Sandalwood Metallica and clear coated. They come close in color to the Light Oak interior and top. They’re also easy to clean.
