From The Spray Source. good dude, helped me out whenever i had questions (this was my first spraying, remember).

and nope, its still not cut/buffed. hell it looks good enough for me that ill probably drag my *** on doing that for a while i do have to respray one panel that i had a gloss run on, so i was experimenting with different pads and compounds before doing the rest of the car. at least that panel's sacrifice wasnt in vain. here's what it CAN look like..

Word this is $160 worth of heat reflective tape, and I'm not even done yet.

Good deal. I was going to use a 1.4 but didnt know what would be best to spray with Autoflex. Thank you for the help. Looks great for it not to be cut and buffed. Excellent work my friend.

thank ya sir! yea im pretty excited that for under $1000 i can just arbitrarily change the color of one of my vehicles in a day, haha. this will be expensive.. but pretty.

i updated the post to show a post cut/buff example. maybe mine isnt completely cured (its been kinda cold here in CO) but it buffed super easy. its NOTHING like the clearcoat on the c5. i used a green pad and it was like using a yellow pad - if you're familiar with buffing pads. start light and experiment, for sure.

Always hard to tell from a photo regarding color, but if the photos are accurate - paint looks great to me!

Curious, did you use an exhaust fan/filters in your home-made spray booth?

I love your silver car, and that hood is proper. I wish there was a bolton solution for a functional splitter that wouldnt be an arm and a leg...

A buddy I know does autoflex and he did a color like that on another car, im not a fan of this on the c5 but good effort, good job especially in a garage.

Thank you It was no small task to do my front aero and the APR unit is WAY expensive. It would be cheaper to buy a sheet of your own Nomex/carbon sandwhich board and make your own (that's what I did for my flat floors).

Guys, I spent some time on this site, but since this is a new process and material to me, I have a lot to learn. https://www.pearlsandpigments.com/home.php.
I also have another question to you with splitters. A friend of mine just put one on his c5 and said he's running 20 degrees hotter. Any ideas?

Does it have a center vent direct to the radiator like mine? If not, that is likely the cause.

Thanks Erik.
Pardon my gushing guys, but my mind is still blowing up with this product.
I'm very curious about the spray environment Sean did his work in, and what cutting/compound/polishing products did you use?

I dig it. I keep treading about the ProLine of Plasti-Dip. I have yet to try it out, but I'd have no problem breaking out my DYC sprayer on the C5 for a color change. Granted the C5 is still new to me right now, but my 09 busa has been 5 colors so far plus the OEM charcoal/silver. I did one color changing dip, Hypershift ZTN was pretty wicked how you start with a black vehicle and spray that pearl/clear and changes it so dramatically. Within the next couple of weeks the bike will be on it's 6th color. I drew the graphics in CAD and cut them out on wife's Silhouette.

If anyone is considering this, I would not recommend any of the Blaze colors or neon colors.. I knew already that Firebelly Orange would fade, but that thing faded QUICK and less than a month.
