I have had my old boy in the Z a couple of times. I put a towel on the seat....He was a big old golden that would just sit and look out the windows. My new Golden is two...he isn't ready for the vette yet...

At least the dog is not sitting in the driver's lap.

Nothing wrong with putting a towel or cover over the seat and taking a dog for a ride. Many of them love it.

My Aussie will ride on occasion. She sits quietly on the seat and is no problem.

My boxer loves to go on rides. He's very calm, but he does slobber on the door and window lol

My German Shepherd weighs 130 lbs, he takes up the entire back seat of my crew cab, so don't think hes going to fit in the vette....

No problems here, Jess loves a ride with the top off. I even built a little wooden platform so she can't fall into to footwell (that kind of bothered her I think).

I bought this
dog seat cover dog seat cover
which prevents any claws doing damage. $16 from Amazon seemed quite reasonable.

You guys are making me miss our dog... She would sit patiently next to the door waiting for it to be opened. She enjoyed getting her nose under my arm every time I tried to shift! She didn't hang out the window, she was always content to curl up on the seat where I could reach out and rub her head.

Enjoy them, they're not here forever!

Mine are 2 years old still to young for the vette but they go to every camping trip with us and have lot of fun.

My black lab (about 85 lbs) has ridden many times in my 98, but I won't let her in my 02 since it has a painted console, lower door, etc.

My little dude loves riding with the top off. He's 5 pounds soaking wet and has hair not fur so he doesn't shed.

Suzie loves riding in the Vette. Last couple of times I've gone out, she's stuck her nose thinking she was going. Need to find a moving blanket, now I have new interior, she ways 70 plus pounds.

Default doggone vette

Doesn't matter how many towels, blankets, etc. I put in the passenger's side the dog finds a way to get right on the seat and then of course stands on the console.
