On the topic of the '03+ magnetic ride...well I believe all Corvettes from '04 on have magnetic ride stock and Caddys also. I love my magnetic ride on my '03 they are supposed to be very robust and should last as long as you own the car. My GF loves it with the bad roads we have and switches it to touring just to avoid being bounced around. It would not be a deal breaker for sure with me. I love my '03 low mileage Corvette!! Don't let previous posts scare you they are just jealous of the great ride we have at the turn of a switch!

These people are in la la land...they'll never get anything close to what they're asking for these cars...

On the subject of price ( ) bought my '04 last year with 24k miles for $24,000 Canadian. Had to fly west to get it. Same cars here with twice the mileage were and are still 4-5k more.

Older C5's can be plagued with ABS module issues too which can be a pretty costly fix. I'd say '01 and up as well to maximize chances of overall reliability, but prior care can often times outweigh a simple model year difference.

I was originally looking for a later year C5, but it had to be a certain color, manual, vert, and very, very well kept and maintained. Looked for about a year and found a '99 black 6m vert with 30K on the clock, very nice condition and maintenance. Couldn't resist and picked it up at a good price. It has been a great performance car buy. The only real thing I can complain about is a gas tank leak that ran about $1500.00. Overall, so far, my C5 has been a real bargain in the maintenance department compared to the very long time owned Porsche 911. Just insist on a clean, accident free, lower mileage and well maintained C5, hard to go wrong if you are careful with your purchase. Good luck

My 2001 has been a flawless daily driver. Type = taste of the individual, but I think that the hatch-back coupe/automatic is the way to go. Great water integrity of the top seals. I drive in the rain all the time (Duh.. Washington).
