Default NCM Insurance

I got a quote on their insurance and its almost half what I'm paying with State Farm. You guys that have NCM insurance had any problems with it? Full coverage and low mileage insurance and looks like the same coverage I have now. Ready to go with it. Thanks

I have their coverage on my '03. Low premium cost plus an excellent agreed value works well for me. I've not had any claims to see how that part of the policy works out.

Just realize there are restrictions on the number of miles you can drive each year and also how you can drive the car and if that is OK, their coverage should work for you.

I have had them for a few years also. Great prices and service but I have had no claims. Hope I never do. Agreed on value and no deductibles can't beat it.

I had it when I had 2 vettes and no issues at all. Had a claim for a chipped windshield and it was handled without issue and in a timely manner.

I am in the process of leaving State Farm for the same reason. 50% less a year. But NCM Insurance wants a lot of insurance information on anyone that might be driving the car and the insurance information on the other vehicles you have, including what insurance is on my fiance' car. I really don't understand what one has to do with the other.

Can you add to this Adam Boca.

Sure!

We are required to list all licensed operators that live in the house on the policy. This isn't a NCM Insurance requirement, but one that is a requirement of our carrier as required by the department of insurance. We are also required to show that each operator in the household has a daily use vehicle, that it is insured and at what levels of coverage. We want to make sure that this vehicle isn't over insured with regard to liability coverage's and that we are not insuring a daily use vehicle.

Since we are considered a principal means of insurance we are unable to insure this vehicle with higher levels of coverage (Bodily Injury, Property Damage, Uninsured or Underinsured Motorists Bodily Injury. The reason is if you were to be in an accident in your daily use vehicle we could still be financially responsible if we carry more coverage than the daily auto policy. Ultimately, we are looking to minimize this risk.

This is standard operating procedure for all collector vehicle insurance offerings.

Both my wife and I are retired, so no use other than pleasure. We have a primary use vehicle, which we share (we travel together 95% of the time) and we have the Vette. I think you are saying you will not insure the Vette as we do not have two primary use vehicles, even though one would never get used. True?

You will need full description, lots of pictures. Replacement value???
Really it is agreed declared value. In other words you feel that
your $12,000 vette is valued by you at $60,000. If you can show
the folks at NCM that your vette is a $60,000 vette, they will
insure your vette at the agreed value.

I have my 2000 vette insured with NCM. I have had a claim and they
were very good to me. Insurance is only good when you have a
claim and you are happy after the repair.
Good luck.

If I ever buy a second car (as a DD) I will be giving them a call. I work from home and only drive my C5 about 3,000 mies a year, but unfortunately it is my only car the past 17 years. Hard for me to justify buying a second car just to get lower insurance premium, but a new car is almost inevitable now due to years.

The online "quick quotes" through NCM seem to offer better coverage at a lower price than Hagerty, which I currently have.

Adam,

My current Policy with Hagerty is up for renewal in November. What kind of lead time do I need when switching over to NCM insurance?
